This was an interesting article that i originally read on nascar.com , but what i found interesting is what Amirola said, in that he could be moved to the 41 car. Now, at foxsports.com , it has a bit more info in saying that Bobby Labonte could be going in the 8 car, and that the Target sponsorship could be moved over to the 42 and Juan Pablo. As for what happens to the Wrigley sponsorship if Montoya gets Target, i have no idea if they go with Amirola or Bobby, and i heard before that they could possibly go with Aric, but that was before Labonte was in the mix, so if i were them i'd go with the past champ rather than the driver who only got a ride because of Affirmative Action.
Now the Target moving to Montoya is not a suprise as i heard that a while back, but when i heard that Labonte could be heading to the 41, i heard Target was very excited with him representing their company, so i dismissed it, but apparently that's resurfaced, which why anybody would want Montoya representing them i will not understand as Labonte is the better sell being a past champ.
I will say that even though Jr to me will be Driver#8 always to me, they have attempted to put some classy drivers in there to replace him, with last year it being Mark Martin, and now possibly Bobby Labonte, so although i like these drivers, and they are some greats, the #8 always fits best with Jr. Also, according to the foxsports article, it reunites Doug Randolph with Bobby Labonte, who was Bobby's crew chief for a short stint at Petty Enterprises, but Doug really hasnt been much of a threat when it comes to building and making race cars compete for wins.
