It is amazing to me that a person who so many put their trust and confidence in did this. A loyal employee for many years who helped keep the city running day to day and seemed to do it rather well. I guess incidents like this is why government is set up with Checks and Balances in place to prevent it from happening. Unfortunate for Rockwood they didn't put them in place sooner. Could have saved everyone involved alot of grief and money.

In today's story Watts says that he ask for the investigation. If you remember he was trying to put Tom in charge of all the cities finances. I think he wanted him there to cover it up. But if the history of this town teaches us anything and Tom has anything to spill he should do it quick, in writing, with witnesses. How many people from Judge Butler forward with something to tell just happened to not be around very long?

Its just a matter of time before more Rockwood officials are caught-first the REU board drama and water board drama, city council cant do nothing right and now this-the cops, council and everyone else in authority are all in on something-this guy just got caught first!

Funny, the mayor wanted to put Tom in charge of the city finances? Is it in the council minutes? He says now that he called for the investigation. I bet he does not want them to find everything.

It seems to me like it took the auditors a LONG time to find any wrong doing. Four years ? and they could find NOTHING ?

I agree with later, I think that woman needs to be made to pay for all the late fees that tax payers had to pay for!! IF they would come out with the truth on her, she would be the next one to go down. This is how they get by with the stuff they do, cause no one will do anything! After she was fired, i heard she has lost her house, how sad is that.? Then to do online classes an charge the city for it. WTF is wrong with this picture??

This statement does not directly apply to this thread about the indictment, but it does shed some more light on the way our elected officials carry on business.(From the thread about the story by WBIR about pet owners being upset).
"Why would the Rockwood City Council approve such an ill conceived ordinance in the face of voiced disapproval by interested citizens? If the council members wanted to address the problem of people abandoning animals when they move, surely there is a better approach to solving this problem than limiting law-abiding citizens to 5 animals or requiring them to be in a commercial zone and be classified as a kennel! The people who abandon the animals should be the ones punished or prosecuted, not the citizens who have gone to the trouble and expense of having their animals spayed and neutered. Just think for a minute, suppose you have 7 animals(spayed/neutered/vacina ted, and you have to decide which animals to "get rid of" or face being in violation of this ridiculously conceived ordinance - what would you do? How would you feel about your elected city officials?"

Aren't you being a little bit of a bitch instead of a mama wolf? I guess you don't need to tell anyone how many animals they can reasonably care for, and they won't tell you how many kids you can reasonably care for! See how mean and dumb your comment sounds.

You presume wrongly.I guess your brain is really twisted after all these years of being addicted. What a waste, another example of why people should just say no! All I was trying to say was those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones my dear.Unfortunately your actions don't just reflect on you but on those close to you as well.
