USC is lucky to be number two.
They are unlucky to be in such a weak conference... or are they just the best in the PAC10?
Florida deserves their NC. USC deserves a chance to play for it about as much as Texas and Utah

Final ranks are right.
Period.

USC and the pac ten should be the leaders in aborting the BCS. Looking back to judge based on who did what against whom, it couldn't be more clear that the fans and players get hosed again! Maybe the T.A.R.P. can bailout the BSC from their BS.

Hey sorry DJB, but the SEC has been the best conference in the coutry the last 3 years, with the Big-12 a very close second. Oklahoma and Texas had to litterally survive tough games EVERY WEEK, while u.s.c. was playing a bunch of .500 teams all year. Please, there's no comparison. USC did have perhaps the best defense I've seen since them have on over 30 years even better than that 1974 defense that included Richard Wood. But once they lost to Oregon State, that was it and you know it deep down inside.

Texas, Oklahoma, Florida. Sloppy at best. Playoff needed to find the real champ not matter what conference.

yeah, some ugly games, some ugly plays, some ugly wins.
of course, if they all played the same teams as USC, i am sure there would be some real boring one-sided games.

here are the FACTS, junior:

Two national championships, including the AP 2003 national championship and the undisputed 2004 national championship.
Seven consecutive Associated Press Top-4 finishes
A record six BCS bowl victories
A record seven consecutive BCS bowl appearances
A record seven consecutive years as Pac-10 Champions or Co-Champions
A national-record 33 consecutive weeks as AP's No. 1-ranked team
A winning record of 8815 (85.4%), including 142 against traditional rivals Notre Dame and UCLA
A NCAA record of 63 straight 20-point games
Twenty-five All-American first teamers
Three Heisman Trophy winners (Carson Palmer, 2002; Matt Leinart, 2004; Reggie Bush, 2005)
Four Top-5 recruiting classes
Win streaks for home games (34) and Pac-10 home games (22).
In 2007, USC became the first NCAA FBS team to achieve six consecutive 11-win seasons.[33] In 2008, USC added an unprecedented seventh consecutive 11-win season.
280 in the month of November
Only team in history to win three consecutive Rose Bowl Games

your a typical Fucla meathead. wow, sec the best for three whole
years. actuaully it's only two because of the losses during the regular
season and a mediocre at best bcs record. what has occured at SOUTHERN CAL with PETE CARROLL has NEVER HAPPENED in the history
of college football.

Tim Tebow is the greatest college football player of all time, he was robbed of the Heisman this year, and the Florida Gators earned the rightg to be playing for the title after winning the title in the toughest conference in the country this year. The only team that got screwed was Texas, the Long Horns should have been playing the Gators last night.
sorry son, that title BELONGS to ARCHIE GRIFFIN. probably don't even
know who that is.

Florida 13-1...one loss by one point, NC
USC 12-1...one loss, lots of depth and talent
Utah 13-0...undefeated, rising in national mindset
Texas 12-1...one loss, Florida's little brother (Tebow is a higher parallel to Colt)
Oklahoma 12-2...lost to Florida and Texas by 10

Hey Bruin fans....get ready for another exciting season of Bruin football, loaded with no quarterbacks, no defense, and half a stadium if that many fans at USC's away-home stadium, the Rose Bowl. Tickets available NOW. Sadly, they have no offense, and Norm Chow is just a bunch of PR hype. So maybe USC didn't win the national championship (oh well, we'll just have shine the 11 we already have in Heritage Hall until 2010's newest one arrives for the 2009 season) but we'll always be better than UCLA. And at USC, we don't count our women's national championships in NCAA Yahtzee competition. First to 100 my ass. LOL!
USC STILL NUM1

All I have to say is, USC #1 No matter what the polls are. If you have the # 1 defense and shut down Penn in the rosebowl then I seriously think no one can beat USC. As people say "Defense Wins Games" therefore USC only allow 7.8 points a game. UTAH no chance against USC. Over rated as #2. weak conference. Texas , your kidding me they beat Ohio St by a field goal. USC dominated Ohio St. Oklahoma, bowl chokers, their a joke. Florida deserves # 1 based on the fact that they did not play USC. USC defense would have dominated Tebow. By the way if the pac-10 was weak they would have not gone 5-0 in bowl serious thought the AP and BCS might want to know that.

Another ignorant condom. UCLA averaged 73,000 fans at the Rose Bowl and you trojans averaged like 85,000 with 50,000 bandwagoners like yourself, not much of a difference, except that UCLA has "real" fans not like the condoms. If you knew anything about college football or followed what UCLA has done in recruiting up to this point, you would know that for the 3rd straght year we're having a great year. Among them Morrell Presley the greatest Tight End in H.S. history; and Richard Brehaut the #4 rated QB in the nation; Stanly Hasiak 6'6 340 lb OL and 6 other OL...the "monopoly" is over. Do your homework before making youself appear a bigger idiot than you are.

When did you become an SEC kiss-arse? Or is your hatred and rage for all things USC causing you to get all bass-ackwards? I bet dollars to donuts that if UCLA were in USC's position, you would be singing a different tune.
