You're citing this to support your case?
A respected government scientist was barred from his job and banned from talking to his his co-workers earlier this month and the question no one seems to be able -- or willing -- to answer is why.

The Monnett accusations in full:

CROWD: A witch! A witch! A witch! We've got a witch! A witch!
VILLAGER #1: We have found a witch, might we burn her?
CROWD: Burn her! Burn!
BEDEMIR: How do you know she is a witch?
VILLAGER #2: She looks like one.
BEDEMIR: Bring her forward.
WITCH: I'm not a witch. I'm not a witch.
BEDEMIR: But you are dressed as one.
WITCH: They dressed me up like this.
CROWD: No, we didn't... no.
WITCH: And this isn't my nose, it's a false one.
BEDEMIR: Well?
VILLAGER #1: Well, we did do the nose.
BEDEMIR: The nose?
VILLAGER #1: And the hat -- but she is a witch!
CROWD: Burn her! Witch! Witch! Burn her!
BEDEMIR: Did you dress her up like this?
CROWD: No, no... no ... yes. Yes, yes, a bit, a bit.
VILLAGER #1: She has got a wart.
BEDEMIR: What makes you think she is a witch?
VILLAGER #3: Well, she turned me into a newt.
BEDEMIR: A newt?
VILLAGER #3: I got better.
VILLAGER #2: Burn her anyway!
CROWD: Burn! Burn her!

The consensus of opinion within the scientific community that studies the creatures, is that there are probably 20,000 - 25,000 polar bears living in the Arctic region.
Polar bears are descended from brown bears and if the worst came to the worst, as far as ice loss is concerned, they would survive by adjusting their eating habits.

CO2 has been proven guilty. Warming due to CO2 is an observable fact.
When greenhouse gases absorb infrared radiation, the energy heats the atmosphere which in turn re-radiates infrared radiation in all directions. Some makes its way back to the earth's surface. Hence we expect to find more infrared radiation heading downwards. Surface measurements from 1973 to 2008 find an increasing trend of infrared radiation returning to earth (Wang 2009). A regional study over the central Alps found that downward infrared radiation is increasing due to the enhanced greenhouse effect (Philipona 2004). Taking this a step further, an analysis of high resolution spectral data allowed scientists to quantitatively attribute the increase in downward radiation to each of several greenhouse gases (Evans 2006). The results lead the authors to conclude that "this experimental data should effectively end the argument by skeptics that no experimental evidence exists for the connection between greenhouse gas increases in the atmosphere and global warming."

So we should all be grateful to coal burning power stations, gas guzzlers, oil fired central heating and the like, for stopping our planet from cooling.
If you don't like the heat, move closer to one of the poles.
If you don't like the cold, do as I did, move closer to the equator.
It's called adaptation.

Polar bears won't adapt- they'll die.

Adaptation for human beings won't be as easy as you suggest either.

But you are a glib, infantile old fool, so hardly surprising.

Polar Bear Basics

The polar bear, Ursus maritimus, or the sea bear, evolved about 200,000 years ago from brown bear ancestors. They are superbly adapted for survival in the Far North.
http://www.polarbearsinternational.org/polar-...
Polar bears had no choice, they evolved from brown bears to live in freezing conditions and therefore could evolve to live on dry land.

Evolution happens over thousands of year, not decades.

Plus there are people with guns who live on the dry land, who won't take lightly to an invasion of polar bears.

Just as there are mean old hypocrites sitting in farm houses in Spain who would be the first to insist the army shoot climate dispossessed from Africa at the border despite having blathered emptily about how those affected by climate change can simply move.

"During the summer months when the sea ice melts they will roam as far south as Hudson Bay, where they hang out and "chill" until the sea ice forms again in the fall."
http://www.extremescience.com/zoom/index.php/...
That doesn't sound like the description of an animal that would need thousands of years to evolve to a state where it could live on dry land with access to water.
If the people who live on dry land find it hard to get on with them, I suggest they take lessons from people who live and coexist with grizzlies and other land based bears.

Polar bears must adapt to melting ice caps
Duration: 04:33
In the high Arctic, polar bears are witnessed behaving differently to those seen previously in 1996. Experts discuss the spectacle of polar bears hunting walruses instead of small ringed seals. They suggest this change is a result of polar ice caps melting and polar bears rapidly losing ice cover. The bears will have to either migrate south or come onto dry land and adapt quickly to a new habitat to survive.

The reaction to the Monnett verdict:

BEDEMIR: What makes you think she is a witch?
VILLAGER #3: Well, she turned me into a newt.
BEDEMIR: A newt?
VILLAGER #3: I got better.
VILLAGER #2: Burn her anyway!
CROWD: Burn! Burn her!
BEDEMIR: Quiet, quiet. Quiet! There are ways of telling whether
she is a witch.
CROWD: Are there? What are they?
BEDEMIR: Tell me, what do you do with witches?
VILLAGER #2: Burn!
CROWD: Burn, burn them up!
BEDEMIR: And what do you burn apart from witches?
VILLAGER #1: More witches!
VILLAGER #2: Wood!
BEDEMIR: So, why do witches burn?
[pause]
VILLAGER #3: B--...'cause they're made of wood...?
BEDEMIR: Good!
CROWD: Oh yeah, yeah...
BEDEMIR: So, how do we tell whether she is made of wood?
VILLAGER #1: Build a bridge out of her.
BEDEMIR: Aah, but can you not also build bridges out of stone?
VILLAGER #2: Oh, yeah.
BEDEMIR: Does wood sink in water?
VILLAGER #1: No, no.
VILLAGER #2: It floats! It floats!
VILLAGER #1: Throw her into the pond!
CROWD: The pond!
BEDEMIR: What also floats in water?
VILLAGER #1: Bread!
VILLAGER #2: Apples!
VILLAGER #3: Very small rocks!
VILLAGER #1: Cider!
VILLAGER #2: Great gravy!
VILLAGER #1: Cherries!
VILLAGER #2: Mud!
VILLAGER #3: Churches -- churches!
VILLAGER #2: Lead -- lead!
ARTHUR: A duck.
CROWD: Oooh.
BEDEMIR: Exactly! So, logically...,
VILLAGER #1: If... she.. weighs the same as a duck, she's made of wood.
BEDEMIR: And therefore--?
VILLAGER #1: A witch!
CROWD: A witch!
BEDEMIR: We shall use my larger scales!
[yelling]
BEDEMIR: Right, remove the supports!
[whop]
[creak]
