Another reason why I don't watch pro sports anymore. No one forces you to sign these contracts and than after a year or two you all start crying that it's not fair. Biggest babies around and try getting a 50 cent an hour raise and being happy about it.

Hester is a great return man, but I feel no sympathy for anyone who ONLY signs a 4 year/2.61 million dollar upon leaving college.
They're all overpaid and someday this will all stop. |

The reason the owners did this is because they want a "fixed, slotted, salary pool" like the NBA for rookies. No more guaranteeing 20 million to a player that hasn't played a down yet. Look at Cedric Benson. He took the 15 million and laughs all the way to the bank. Showing no effort to want to become a good player.
