It looks like others have started to pay attention to the local 'leadership' activities.

The News Sentinel is doing what a news source is supposed to do. They are giving the best facts without bias. Too bad the people of Lenoir City have to depend on the Knoxville News Sentinel to get the true facts, but thank goodness they are willing.
Like they say...best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
Stay tuned.

This article was right on. Wonder if anyone has ever done a real analysis of who does what and who is related to who in city and county government in Loudon county.
Must be why they dont like people who ask questions about such as that.
I have heard that they sit on committees where they decide who gets hired and fired and set each others salary.
I have also heard that people are threatened in lots of ways if they get too curious or talk to much.
Where is the law in these countys anyway?

Buford, the "law" is one of the people in question....he's the chief deputy at the sheriffs dept, the mayor of Lenoir city, and chairman of the Lenoir City Utility Board! All rolled into one!!

How can that be legal? No way one man should hold that kind of power over one town. What is it they say - power corrupts and total power corrupts totally. Where is your city attorney on this? OMG!

The City Attorney is the one that got Tony's grand jury case of extortion dismissed.

Tony is also the direct county law officer that works with DA office district 9.

You know kinda like on Andy where he is the one that wears all the hats.

So Harry is vice mayor now. He is the smartest guy on the board. There isn't any competition intellectually and he is the only one with the right kind of business sense. most important he has some backbone. Not enough to risk making the wrong enemies on the board but at least there is some.
The rest seem to just fill a seat so they can fill the jobs with relatives and dance to the mayors music.
It has been a well kept secret and continues for the most part. But looks like some are starting to wise up and take notice. News Sentiel isn't afraid of rocking their little boat now and then. Good for them.
