While I am one person that has always wanted Joba in the pen, it is a little more difficult right now to just go ahead and put him there. With Wang out we already need a fill in starter. Hughes has been excellent in the 8th inning role and is now not stretched out enough to go back to starting for a few weeks. Put Joba in the pen now then we will need 2 fill in starters. With all that said Joba can not go more then 4 innings and I would love to see him back in the pen where he belongs. Every time out as a starter we have the same problem of knowing the pen is going to be taxed big time. Ughhhh Let's Go Yankees. Win these next 2 and get into the break on a high!

A little front office lesson for you. The Yankees brought up the kid from AAA because Albaladejo had been used a ton and they needed a fresh arm. It was a numbers game, not an indictment on Jonathan Albaladejo. Second thing is Joba needs to go to Triple AAA to learn how to pitch as a starter. His early success clearly was great, but it made everyone think he was the second coming. He needs innings and he is not getting that up here. He had devastating stuff and he has lost his confidence. Bullpen is not the answer, the Minors is.

No mention of the Jeter drop that lead to 3 more runs? Talk about shoddy reporting. I know Jeter is great but to not mention his drop is just wrong.

I have always wanted him to be a part of the BP as well. He has never impressed me as a starter and he's very immature! To fill the SP spots, I'd use any 2 from Aceves, Coke, Hughes or bring up a starter from AAA. This talk of stretching out to be a starter, etc is all ne BS that I'm hearing for the 1st time. David Cone, who knows a thing or 2 about pitching says Hughes, Aceves or Coke could be ready after a start or 2. Send them to AAA, give them a start or 2 and bring them back! End of problem!!!

I don't think Joba's problem is bullpen or starting. He hasn't been the same since the shoulder injury last year. 87 mph fastballs last night with no movement. Something is definitely wrong with him. Heard a rumor his shoulder tendinitis is something chronic. He's just not the same as he was in 2007.

Andy Pettitte STINKS!!!! Can't wait until this year when this guy is finally gone for good!!! Maybe next year we'll also have a manager that can actually manage a bullpen...
