Most people that don't want boller starting does NOT I repeat do NOT hate boller, he just isn't any good period, I refuse to make stupid exceptions for a 5 year vet and FIRST ROUND pick mind you like most of you do.
I want a new QB starting this season period, what we don't know can't possibly hurt us, if Smith turns out to be a dud, well it won't be worse than boller so why not take the chance? Anthony Wright wasn't that good but STILL stat wise was BETTER THAN BOLLER, look it up!
Flacco should NOT start till next year, he is a deer in headlights right now.
boller got 5 years out of us, and if any of the boller supporters aren't willing to spend 5 years in prison, then you know how us non boller huggers feel. Gosh dang , Exbollerfan ,If you think Troy Smith should start instead of Boller , you could probably run up and down a cowpasture without smellin' somethin', even if you stepped in somethin'.

Boller could go 29 for 30 for 500 yards and 6 touchdown passes and Mike would write a column bashing Boller for the one incompletion. Preston really is the worst Sports writer at The Sun. The guess here is you could walk outside the Sun's building and grab the first dozen people that walk by and they'd have more insight and writing ability than Mike.

I sometimes wonder if this guy watches the same games. Yes, Boller can be maddening at times, but to sum up his entire first half last night by harping on one INT is ridiculous and to write an entire article as if every play Boller made was a turnover is even more maddening. And whats with this constantly harping on Smith's mobility as if that is the thing thats gonna bring this Offense over the hump. Boller is just as mobile, in fact he's one of hte most athletic QB's in the NFL (yes he has to hold onto the ball better), but I will take him anyday over last year's version of McNair. How quickly we forget how awful that was to watch.

Mike, the only reason Troy Smith didn't have that "costly turnover" was because the Patriot LB couldn't hold on to the pass that was thrown right at him. He definitely should have had that pass picked.

11-15 - poor outing. Both starting tackles not playing. No, McGeahee, no Heap and no Demetrius Williams. Interception - Brett Farve never made those mistakes. What was it in 06 Ravens 38-Farve 0. Its preseason!!! Cam will decide on Boller. He is 22-7 in M&T in real games. Billick could not win on the road win any QBs. Oh yeah, it was Kyle that caused all these problems.

Next week, when Smith (probably) has McGahee, Heap, both offensive tackles and both WRs back, Preston will gloat that in a "fair" competition under identical circumstances, Smith was better than Boller. I guarantee you there will not be one mention of the fact by Preston that Smith has a far superior team to QB. Boller did a sensational job considering he was missing FIVE offensive starters.

first off we cant say for certain if the receiver ran the correct route the correct way on that interception, but even if he did boller had a very good game . and his past probably was Bellick fault. how many QBs did we have and not one was any good. give the man a chance in this new system.
