Exactly that is why I can't wait for the season to start. As far as Culpepper, welcome to our world, that's what we were saying last year regarding Holcomb and Bollinger, heck some even said that about Frerotte. Culpepper just hasn't been the same since his injury and without Moss, now your receivers could help him come back, but I just don't see that happening, especially since he couldn't even make the starter at Oakland. Anyway, good luck this season, now bring on the games.<quoted text>
Couldn't agree with you more. That's why we play the games.
The new rumor has Dainty Cut-a-pepper join the packers as a backup......SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!!!!

Yeah, like I told another Pack fan earlier. If I was a Packer faithful, I would find it about as hard to root for Culpepper on my team, as it was to root for Jim McMahon when he left the Bears and joined the Vikings! |
|
Of Course the packers have to sign Dainty, How else are they going to replace Favre's interceptions. |

POINT 1 - Not all GB Fans think alike. I am very wary of Rodgers and his durability. Point 2 - On the Dallas game, the game was already lost. It was relatively easy to look good when Dallas went to soft zones. Point 3 - Bears fans are traditionally delusional. Their success came with defense. It appeared only Bears fans believed in Grossman. The rest of us knew he would implode. |

Jim McMahon. Man I hated him! I don't know what year it was, but I seem to remember it was a playoff game and McMahon was on the bench, hardly able to walk with some sort of significant injury and his backup started the game and we were killing them. Then we put their backup QB out and McMahon hobbles onto the field and proceeds to mount an incredible comeback. He threw 3 or 4 TD's in like the fourth quarter or something and beat us! Then, to see him on our sidelines in PURPLE the next year was just surreal. I hated him almost as much as Drew Pearson. |
Finally, a little reality check All jokularity aside, Rodgers could be very good, and he also could be very bad. This will be an interesting season starting off that Monday night. |

I love how everyone smells chamionship when the team signs a big player. The guy doesn't even touch the ball. The same people said the same stuff when hutchinson was signed and guess what? It didnt even matter. Why? Cause they don't score. Teams win when points go on the board.
Maybe 7 and 9. |

I do believe he touched the ball a fair number of times when he recovered fumbles. Oh yeah, he also had two touchdown catches playing on the OFFENSIVE side of the line. Im not saying he is gonna win the games single handed, but he is a huge upgrade. |

Here's where I disagree with you. Unfortunately, Jared IS an impact player that will deliver field position back to the Offense. A short field for anyone in the NFL, even for T. Jackson, will change games. This deal could be compared to the Reggie White deal. His presence could be seen in sacks, but more importantly, presure created him (Jared) will create opportunities for other defensive players. RE: his off the field issues. If this team reamins competative, I predict no problems. When the season is lost, some guys get hurt (see B. Urlacher) some guys party too much. |

Here's my prediction for Rodgers. He will contstantly be compared to Farve in durability. He has no chance of living up to that measure. So when he does get injured, he will be unfairly labeled as a glass jawed player. When in reality, his durability be considered average when compared to the rest of the QBs around the league. But, that's why we play the games. Should be a great season with GB and MN at the top. Detroit at the bottom and Bears fans scratching their heads yet again. |

Tj is going to be better when he played last season he made some big plays when sidney rice got injured there was nobody to throw to except wade ferguson and allison. I believe berrian and rice should make it easier for tj. Our oline is starting to gell that should give him more time to hit his targets. The problem about tj is he forces throws he doesn't need to that can be fixed. our qb should have a big year

You could put any quarterback next to Favre and they would look injury prone. Rodgers will have more than just his durability questioned by fans. He is a completely different QB than Brett. Brett was a master at keeping the game in front of him so he didn't have to worry about somebody blindsiding him. Brett backpeddaled into safety, where a traditional QB might get caught up in a collapsing pocket. I think that Brett made it easier on the OL with his ability to steer clear of congestion, whether Aaron can do this is yet to be seen. GB's defense is still intact, but the corners are getting old, so I see Thompson loading up on DB's this year to go along with some DL and OL. Of course, GB would be wise to draft another QB, as would the Vikings. |
