I totally agree!!!!!!!!!!
AND, if coach Reid looked the other way with hi sons(?), than what is he doing with the Eagles?! Eagles management needs to ask the Coach to step down till he gets his family in order. By making no comment, the Coach and his wife are basically saying,..."hmmmm, we don't see anything wrong with our sons".

And open note to all of you who feel this family situation is a sign of how Andy Reid does his job as the head coach of the Eagles:

I truly hope someone close in your family has to publicly deal with a serious drug or alcohol addiction. And then, when they are publicly humiliated in the media, you too can feel the shame and embarrassment the Reid family must be feeling now.

And maybe if we’re all really lucky, we’ll be able to make sarcastic comments about how your drugged out family member effects picking up trash in the LV Mall Parking lot or mopping floors at some adult store of Route 222.

First the guy has every single thing he does for a living critiqued to the enth-degree, now he has losers in places like Bath, Pa., judging him as a man and a father. So here's to hoping your family goes through trouble someday - I just hope I can jump on line and break your balls in the same "creative way" you got off an making fun of Andy Reid and his family.

It is a known fact that coaches at the professional level spend more time with their players and going over game plans then their families. They eat, breathe and live the sport. The family will take a back seat. Very strong Mothers must raise the children when it is the sports season. And no I am not saying she is not a strong woman because I believe she must be to be married to a coach. I also think with the problems with his sons there is no way he can devote all the time and energy that is required at the professional level. The players will probably suffer if he devotes to much to the family, just as the family suffered when he devoted to much to the Eagles. This is not an easy job for any man. Professional sports is too big and powerful to be involved in anything but the sport itself.

Does anyone realize that these boys are adults........I feel sorry for Andy because he tried to help these boys and they were out of control. I also feel sorry because he is in the spotlight. You hear nothing about the mother. I am not putting blame on her either but just because Andy is a coach they are going after his credibility. Unless you have walked in their shoes you have nothing bad to say about them. You never know - they may not have known how bad their sons were until it was too late.

He eats food when he is stressed instead of confronting his issues... Think they could have followed probation terms and so forth.. I feel bad for him and he should resign. A ruined season can be forgotten but he needs to save his kids lives and this reflects how he is not involved in their lives and his wife can only do so much

Those who are making negative comments against the Reid family obviously don't understand addiction. It is a disease that no medication can cure. It's a life long day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute struggle. It doesn't just affect the people using, it affects everyone around them.

As far as Andy Reid stepping down? Why? There are hundreds of thousands of parents who deal with this type of situation with their kids on a yearly basis. Should they quit their jobs? That is foolish, people still need to carry on with their lives and make a living.

What his sons did is definitely criminal, I'm not protecting them, the victims of their crimeS deserve justice.

We can only hope his two boys will learn from this, if not, they will see the system at work again in the future.

To this we can only add that the "boys" are both adults. They are criminals. As you can read they knew what they were doing and enjoyed every minute of it. They should/should not be allowed to participate in any type of program that anyone else doesn't have access to that has committed the felonies that they have. The parents could have known about their sons addiction, but as anyone who has drug or alcohol addicted adult children or even children 17 yrs. old knows no one can be forced into rehab unless ordered by a court. Then it doesn't work, because the addict still hasn't acknowledged that he/she has a problem. It is a very sad situation and it's even more sad that someone would wish that on anyone. As a mother, I wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy. Sometimes the bad/evil that you wish on someone will come back to haunt you. That's a terrible tragedy for all that experience it. Mr. and Mrs. Reid are just human. And this epidemic doesn't discriminate against age, race, profesional or economic status. When you hear a parent desperately request help for their child and their child says, "Do what you may, I'm not going anywhere", this is the only way they can get clean. I hope they do learn, for their sake and for the sake of their parents. All parents out there know how it is to feel powerless against an illness and the suffering of a child.

Reid's home was full of drugs for crying out loud. Would you allow drugs to lay around your house if your sons still lived there?

what a dick this kid is for blaming his drug addiction on "smoking that first joint". Only an ass would try to make it seem that pot is evil when in reality, every sane person knows that it is the absolute least harmful and addictive drug there is. Pot promotes peace and eases pain. I hate all drugs, especially alcohol, but NOT POT!!! Alcohol kills, cigs kill, pot has never killed anyone in history. This guy is an idiot and a dick, and screw his pass happy father and his girlie philosophy on football. Only a weak bastard would blame his problems with self discipline on pot. He should blame his girlie pass happy father. The whole family is a bunch of jerks and I hope the Eagles lose every game to a team that out rushes them, because passing is gay and for little baby girls, while running is for real men.

Dude, if I get really lucky I'll have riches beyond my wildest dreams like the Reid family. I'll take their humiliation in exchange for their millions. Give me a break. Poor rich people. I feel so bad for them (sarcasm). I NEVER FEEL SORRY FOR RICH PEOPLE. SCREW THE REID FAMILY, SCREW THE PASS HAPPY EAGLES, AND SCREW EVERYONE WHO LIKES PASSING OVER RUNNING.
