All the pre-season complaining about Kenny seem to evaporate in the face of this Sox team...the class of the division. Most valuable person on the Sox? D. Cooper, the pitching coach. He's a genius. The only thing wrong with the Sox is the dumbo they have doing play-by-play.

Hawk is absolutely the worst in all of baseball.

Vazquez pitched excellently except for two lazy 2-out pitches to a .230 hitter and a .179 hitter, both were right down the middle.
Crede, Swisher, Alexi, Thome, Quentin looked lost, again , at the plate. AJ had two excellent at-bats proving he can to left-field when he wants and when he isn't swinging for the fences.
Why was Uribe in the game? I wanted to watch him against Street that would have hilarious. Uribe trying to win it by himself off the low and outside pitch.

I'm stuck in New York, so it's rare for me to get to watch the Sox on TV these days. I agree with Dragon: I've never much cared for "the Hawk," who always struck me as a bit of a blowhard. If I understand correctly, he had one, maybe two good seasons in an otherwise undistinguished playing career (.239 career average); but he was always going on about himself like he was some kind of HOFer. By contrast, I have fond memories of listening to Tom Paciorek. He was an all star, hit over .300 for the Sox, and played on the 1983 division championship team. Unlike Hawk, though, he was humble and self-deprecating on the air. He could make cheesy jokes from time to time, but that was part of his charm. Listening to him call the game, I felt like I was enjoying the game and sipping a nice cold beer with my cool, laid-back, charmingly goofy uncle. Listening to Hawk, on the other hand, was like enduring a couple hours of hectoring by a talentless, frustrated high school football coach. I'd trade Hawk for Wimpy any day of the week.

. Things that need to change .

1)MLB's habit of blackingout games because you in "A Teams Market"....I could give to donkeys sweaty %$#@'s about the Atlanta Braves....STOP BLACKING OUT Games!

2) The White Sox Losing to Oakland!....What are we mesmerized by the Green & Gold?...Does my namesake have "The Book" our pitchers chart in?....Is Juan Nieves's mancrush On Billy Beane responsible?!!!

3)This whole change the announcers for the Sox load of bull%$#@...Look, yes Hawk is a Homer & DJ has the personality of a Kumquat. But their our announcers, and 80% of us just turn the sound down and listen to the radio. If ya don't like them tough! otherwise just STF up and go watch Women's Softball on ESPN2

2a) If I had to choose announcers for The Sox I'd choose Fisk & Jimmy Piersall...That would liven up the booth..That and we'd all listen for the eventual throwdown between them!!!

3) When Caberra pinch hit for Wise, the logical choice is to slide him into SS and BA goes to CF, Not slide The Cuban Toothpick to CF!?!?...Someone dose Ozzie's pedilyte or sumthin???

4) Konerko gettin a free pass back to 1st after his rehab trip to Charlotte....uhh nooooo, till he hits consistenly he DH's. The Captian Morgan is doin just fine at 1st

5) We need our own Hotdog eatin contest at Comiskey!....and not them wimpy #@$'d dogs they serve in NYC...i want the full dog experiance goin down...that and the enevatable purge afterwords....ya'd need a flamethrower to burn off that smell!!!

6) list is short today as I have to get my self over to the park and hose down the Wakamatsu spot at the park....ya think their bad at the forest preserve in Chicago...try dealin with Bubba's mudbog!!!

You're right Waka - those hot dogs in NYC don't even compare to a Chicago dog. I was none too impressed when I visited the Stadium and Shea.

Well can't win em all....especially when the Sox play the A's for some reason. At least they played hard and hopefully they can take tonight's game.

To add to the discussion about announcers, Paciorek was way better than Harrelson. They also shouldn't have let John Rooney go in the radio booth.
