This is great. As a packers fan, this would be the first season in my life, I wouldnt mind losing to the vikings. I would love to see him stick it to Ted Thompson and the packers organization. Im just glad he didnt end up with the Bears, that would be brutal. Go vikes with favre next year!

Thompson should give number "4" to Aaron Rodgers!

wow kinda suprised by the comment left by Jim the packer/farve fan, as a viking fan I would be glad to have Farve for a year to beat the pack twice this season, do I think it makes MN the best team in NFC, not sold.

I only mean this in a humorous way and not disrespectful to Favre, but whenever there would be a QB meeting of all the Vikes QB's, it would like a father and son get together.

And with four quarter...backs, Klink could bring a fresh one for each quarter. Then we would have a true quarter...back situation.

Sorry. Sometimes my sick humor gets the best of me.

God, if Childress actually pulls this off, and it proves to be that he has been crafting this all along, I'll have to do a 180 on the man. Unlike most of the beer breathers, I have always liked Favre. I've liked him better than almost any Vikings quarterback, because he's a gamer. I'd love to have him on my team. He's got guts, he's creative, he can win. Remember the game after his father's death? If that didn't do something to you, you should turn in your heart because it isn't worth much. Please, Vikings. If the new fellow we drafted to fill the hole at right tackle can do the job, this is all we need. Superbowl for once, and a victory at that.

Last year I was all for this but now I don't think he has much left in the tank. At his age it's highly unlikely that he will finish the season. If that's the case it means that Sage or Tavi are gonna have to guide the team in the playoffs so better one of them get's all the experience possible playing all season.

This is the perfect storm
Something for Viking fans to sound off about, good and bad.
Something for pucker fans to sound off about, all bad.
IF Favre becomes a Viking, and IF Favre can still play at the level that brought the Jets to 8-3, and Brett's name being mentioned as a candidate for MVP, then after Dan kills himself, we will win the Super Bowl.
Hey, Favre won't even need a big number in salary to get his chance at revenge. I've said it before, just show him a picture of Terrible Too Tight Ted Thompson and Brett will sign on the dotted line without compensation.
He could ride off into the sunset with a BALANCED offense, and a big 'S' on his chest.

At this point it could only help the QB situation, sure Sage is an improvement over Jackson (no achievement there) but Sage has never been a starter. This team can win it all now with the right QB. Favre at least presents himself as that "right QB" much more than TJoke or Sage.

Last year when Favre was unretireing like most people I said I would rather loose without Brett than win with him. But then I saw the Vikes go into the post season without a legitimate quarterback to lead the offense in a big game, now I am not so sure I would'nt want him after all he seems to hate the Packers as much as I do.

I think his will to win, and his experience would do wonders for the team. just think back to how many times he came on the field with 1-2 minutes left in te game, and even though the Vikes were up you had to wonder if they could hold on with him behind center. Thats the threat we need behind center, with Peterson, Harvin, Berrian, Taylor, the opposing defense would have to take all the threats into consideration. Who do you go after. Does it mean Superbowl, who knows but a better chance than what we currently have. Not to mention the financial aspect for Wilf's team filling the stadium.
