Oakland Raiders should consider former division rival for back up RB position

There are 6 comments on the Silver And Black Pride story from Feb 15, 2013, titled Oakland Raiders should consider former division rival for back up RB position. In it, Silver And Black Pride reports that:

The Oakland Raiders need a bruiser style of running back, could former Denver Broncoearned Kansas City Chief be the answer? The Oakland Raiders really missed former back up running back Michael Bush in 2012.

Bring him in...I have no problem with that. I think Goodson is a good #3 back that can also be used as a returner, but we need a back like Hillis or Bradshaw to compliment McFadden. Plus Reece at FB is a nice added dimension.

With DMC's injury history, we certainly don't need a backup that's injured all the time also. I don't know Hillis' injuries--I will defer to the coaches and trainers to decided if Hillis is healthy or not....and worth signing.

On the positive side, I thought Hillis looked great in Cleveland (when not injured) and I wonder how it would look with him blocking for DMC again--just like their college days. Could they get that chemistry back? I don't know what kind of system they were running in Arizona.

If he comes cheap and the coaches think he is over his injuries, I would have no problem at all adding him to the roster.

Jackie Battle is a little smaller but runs with a lot of power and shakes tackles well.

reece can gets the short yardage. even mcfadden is decent for that at times. mcfadden, goodson, reece, i like what we got there. if anything?, bring some one in to replace mcfadden incase of injury!

Part of last year's problem was not only McFadden injured, but Goodson was injured a lot as well and Jones for that matter. That's why I thought it was a mistake letting Michael Bush get away because Bush could shed away tacklers and was more of a power runner that compliments a speed runner like McFadden very well. Either way I want a power runner in Oakland.
