If we play to WIN and not play to not lose, we WIN and win in big way... We have too much speed for IOWA but if we run it up the middle on first and second down, leaving TP in THIRD AND LONG, it could be a long day, with a 10-7 score very possible.(Your choice who has 10 and who has 7) If we play to win and open the play book, it's a blow out!

The odd are in favor of Ohio State by more than two touchdowns but I think the margin of victory will be even more. The Buckeyes have finally gelled and the Hawkeyes will discover that their luck has finally run out. Playing an away game in the horseshoe with OSUs 100,000 noisy fans and without Iowa's starting quarterback against a fired-up Ohio State team with the Rose Bowl on the line for the winner will be too much pressure for the Hawkeyes. OSU 35 Iowa 10

I think it's going to be a much closer game than most expect. If the O-line can hold off Iowa's D-line, and Pryor keeps his head like last week, we'll win, but probably more like 20-10. I'm sure they're counting on their defense and special teams just like we do against a tough opponent, and I wouldn't write of Vanderburg based on Northwestern. He'll play better today, but the Bucks will win the Big 10.

Buckeyes will win by 17 or more. Seniors go out happy. I'm bringing some roses to the game. The losing streak continues for Iowa. The last time they won in Columbus was 1991.

Another solid hard hitting Big Ten Football game from both sides of the ball that can rival any game in any conference by the two top teams. Both are very tough, stingy defeneses that like to hit and hothard. Both offeneses have the potential to be outstanding even with a fresh relatiely untested QB.(Remember we have already been beaten by another one this year who did not have a supporting cast like this one) The team that makes the fewest number of mistakes will win this game, but not by much. I see it as a cose game, with our Buckeyes hopefully getting the W...BO BUCKS !

Lose and wait for the laughter, ridicule, and scorn. And it would not take long for that to happen. Win and it will all be about the fact that Iowa was missing its QB, best RB, and O-lineman. Just another conference championship or heaven forbid co-champions crown in the less than spectacular Big 10. Win and it still does not mean much unless OSU wins out, including a Rose Bowl victory against the best the Pac 10 has to offer. But hey, Tress will still have taken the Bucks to a 5th consecutive BCS game and 7th in 9 years. Keep the money rolling in.

Should be an solid win, but I worry about this one becoming a defensive struggle with the Buckeyes behind late due to a turnover. If they press or the defense loses confidence in the offense, it could be a nightmare at the end.

I hope Tressel was watching the Cincinnati game last night. They have 10 times more imagination then OSU on the offensive side of the ball. The little pitch left or right to pick up the 2 or 3 yards needed on 3rd down. Better then up the middle ,Punt! Please have some creativity on offense today. We do have a tight end that I have not seen in any game plans this year. If we get a lead PLEASE DO NOT GO CONSERVATIVE! Iowa will come back! Its sad that we as fans can usually figure out OSU's gameplan. Dont you think a good opponent can also figure this out? Please Tressel do something different today. Frustrated in Tennessee

It will be tough for a young inexperienced QB to handle the Buckeye D line. Ferentz has never won at Ohio Stadium and I don't expect that to change today. Iowa does however bring a defense of their own that is very, very good. Remember, they also manhandled Penn St. at Happy Valley. The Ohio State O line has been inconsistant, not just this year but for several years. If the Bucks go in over confident or turn the ball over it could be a long day. This is the perfect scenario for a trap game. Iowa is coming off a devastating loss while the Bucks are coming off a huge win. I hope they are concentrating on the task at hand and not Pasadena.

Ohio State wins 24-0! Has anyone been on the Ohio State official website and seen the alternative jerseys, pants, and helmets?? Unbelievable!! Those were NOT the jerseys worn in 1954!! First, they did not wear an outline on the numbers. Second, the pants were not that kind of gray and No Block "O" on the pants. Third, I am not sure but I don't think they had numbers on the helmets! Lastly, the jersey sleeve doen't even resemble the '54 squad. This is just Nike making money. It looks like Ohio State will lose some of its tradition as I seem them going with alternative jerseys/helmets every year. Say goodbye to the silver helmets with Buckeye leaves and cool scarlet jerseys. As long as Nike controls Ohio State, the recommendation will be to make money at the expense of traditon. This does NOT look like Ohio State! This is a version of Oregon, just in different colors. Not that jerseys make a team, but certain things should NOT be compromised!! It kills me to say this but schools like Penn State will be seen as more traditional because I don't see them in alternative uniforms! Fans should petition against this or all traditions will be lost. Yes... we went different uniforms in 1993 but just the number on the side in black. This new uniform completely changes the makeup of Ohio State. I think it is honorable to honor 1954 but Nike doesn't care about that!! They want to sell clothing. If they did care, the uniform would be exactly the same as 1954. There is NOTHING on this uniform even close to 1954!! I can't believe Ohio State would even consider this! Coach Tressel should have final call and dump these and go with regular jerseys and the silver helmet. Shame on OSU for even considering it!

Our "O" line will have to have a "Pancake Day" if we expect to control the line of scrimmage against "Haweye" defensive line. That done we will go to play the team up North with a chance to win the Big Ten outright.

Seems to me that we STILL do not fully know what we have with this team! We do know what we have with the defense and I think they even get better over these last 3 games. I have no doubt the defense would challenge ANYONE in the country. We also know we are weak in the place kicking - how weak remains to be seen. And we know what we have with JT and that is what it is - an enormous frustration. But the BIG Q is the offense. Offensive line? TP's capacity to read the D, check down through the receivers, deal with the blitz, not panic when pressed - these are all issues that we need answers to. TP's throwing skills are not good and not likely to improve - but we can still win out with him. Today HOPEFULLY gives us a lot more clarity of what we have offensively. I still take the Bucs and minus 16!

I think the Bucks will win, but I don't think it will be a cake-walk. They'll have to dominate the line of scrimmage again to pull it off. I think they will.

If the Buckeyes have any character at all, and I believe they do, then they will be prepared and up for this game, and no way will they have a letdown. The win last week and the feeling of playing at such a high caliber would inspire anybody with character to do even better this week. The fact of Stanzi being out shouldn't factor in at all in their preparation and resolve. You cannot take Iowa lightly ever.
Win this one, Buckeyes.

I want to say "Go buy your roses now", but there's still a game to play. If the Offense brings their A game they'll win by two or more TDs. Either way the D should carry on as they have all season and could possibly pitch their forth shut out this season.
GO BUCKS!!!!! BRING IT!

Sadly, todays's game will not be close. Vandenberg is not ready. Stanzi would have given the Buckeyes a good game. Best of luck in the Rose Bowl. See you in Iowa City next year.
