Rock n Roll, good way to get it done. Now Flacco has the same chance to compete as Boller and Smith. May the best man win!

The kid really wants to play. Let's see if he can beat out Smith by Opening Day.

This may turn out to be a big mistake... I sure hope that it doesn't, but how can we not re-sign Suggs and give our 3rd string quarterback, who may or may not be the next Kyle Boller,$30M over five years? Big risk.

Kudos to both sides for not bickering over minor details and getting a deal done.

I'm not worried about Suggs, the Ravens will re-sign him. It may be just like McAllister, as Suggs may have to play under the tag for a year or two. But he'll get his money. He doesnt seem bitter about it at all. So that's a good sign.

I'm thinking Troy for a half and Flacco for a half. Teams will not be able to catch up. Sit Kyle. We have a young Vick and a deep ball threat. I am really confident with our lineup this year.

Im not too worried about Suggs. I mean, how can these under Franchise tag complain? Are they not paid something like the avg of the top 5 of their position? Yeah, they lose on guaranteed that yr, but they are not getting lowballed either.

As for Flacco, Smith, Boller, I agree, may the best man win the postion. Put in whoever gives us the best chance to win NOW. I will cheer on whoever that person is.

The honest ruth is, I think at some point we will see all three have starts during the season, unless one of the 3 really steps up and shines and goes on a roll. I am so happy football is here!!

Quarterback by committee,,,,,,,,,could work but I think MacNair should have come back and we could have had some real competition between him and Boller,,,,,,,,,I still think Stoney Case was the man , he just never got a real shot at it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Scott Mitchell , now there's a Q-back , I know quarterbacks.............

The only mistake would've been had Joe held out, like Brady Quinn and Jemarcus Russell, for another few million. His signing is great to hear, and it shows Joe is committed to competing for the QB job. As for Suggs, the Ravens offered him a deal and he turned it down. His contract didn't play a role in the Flacco signing, so why even bring that up?

Since Dan Marino in 1983, not one QB taken in the 2nd half of the 1st round of the NFL Draft has been all that successful. Yet, for some reason a lot of people believe that a QB from D-1AA who couldn't cut it at that football powerhouse Pittsburgh is going to be a franchise QB.

Selecting Flacco was a mistake. I really hope I'm wrong.

If a rookie QB from D-1AA gives the Ravens the best chance to win then the team is screwed for this season. Anyone who is realistic realizes that the learning curve from D-1AA to the NFL will be much larger relative to coming from a respectable D-1 conference. In the NFL, defenses will be much more complicated, they will be much faster, and the windows to throw in will close much faster. His ass belongs on the bench.

If the Ravens don't resign Suggs I'm going to assume that Angelos is running the team.

I think Flacco is not a mistake and get this, there was another Delaware QB who do a pretty damn good job as a starter.

Does the name: RICH GANNON... lead to mind?

Suggs has been franchised. He'll play this year regardless. You don't draft a player in the first round and not sign him. Flacco's deal was very acceptable to both sides. He didn't hold out for HUGE money. I commend him on that. Sugg's money he is seeking is for 2+ seasons from now, so chill out. Someone will retire or get cut after this season and that money will go to Suggs. It's one big apple pie and I am sure the Ravens have a cable cap specialist, someone with a bit more knowledge and more balls than you, managing it.
