Showtime's closure is the end of an era

Wow, too bad they closed. I know Havard, Yale, Princeton, etc rely heavily on "world" dance and cheer champions to make up their student body.

Ok, wow, see this is where it gets out of hand. Why do we have to resort to name calling. I was in fact a cheerleader, and I am FAR from stuck up and mean to people just to watch them hurt. DO NOT STEREOTYPE BECAUSE YOU WERE MADE FUN OF BY SOMEONE IN HIGH SCHOOL. What you need to do is make sure you raise your kids to be upstanding citizens and quit blaming the rest of the world for your mess ups. Teach your children that it is ok to stand up for what is right even if someone doesn't like it. Teach them to be role models, just because they are involved in an activity does not mean that they have to pick up every trait you think they will. If you don't like it, change it.

Thank you suck it up your daughter did not make it we are so sorry a lot of kids did not make it. I am so sick of this can parents just grow up, some of you are a piece of work thank you to the person who said thay lived somewhere were dance and cheer were cut throat, and yes when showtime went to competitions i was so proud to have my daughter wear a showtime uniform we did not have our bellies hanging out we looked like young ladies and young gentlemem, i am sorry for those young children that did not make the team because it was a womderful time in our lives and i wish everyone could have been a part of it. Mrs Lorrie you did nothing wrong and again thank you for being in my childs life.

Lorrie and her committee did the right thing by kicking the mom and the daughter out the lady was a psycho and still is. Believe me I feel bad for this young lady she has no cahnce with a mother like hers sorry she is your friend watch out!!!

I would like to know where the money went for their final show on May 4, 2008. They charged $5 at the door and their were alot of people there. Did the High School charge for renting the gym? Why didn't Lorrie show up?

There is a group of young girls who were KICKED OUT of that place. Not because they couldn't cheer or dance- they did "make it" on their own abilities and hard work. The owner & her hit squad of select parents kicked them out because theses parents blew the whistle on wrong doings or they didn't fit the profile the studio wanted. Now I ask- Who needs to grow up? These girls were devastated and tossed away like the daily trash. These young girls were humiliated and embarrassed in front of all their friends. Can’t you see their pain and what a trauma they went through?

When I think of the values, I want to teach my daughters, one of them is not to be a CUT THROAT! What ever happened to the sportsmanship?

This is why these parents are speaking out. They finally have a venue to express their anger about a studio that portrays them to be upstanding role models in our community. As one studio parent said,“She had blinders on,” or another parent said,“She was always in a hurry when she went to the studio to pay her monthly bill.” This is why they never saw the wrong doings that went on.

Please go to another city and try out and see if your child makes everything, my daughter had to try out and was allways scared as if she was going to make the team or not tryouts sre not just in alamogordo they are everywhere.The parent i am talking about did get her child kicked out because of the mothers actions how can you even think that this child could stay on when her mother is acting like a child. I am very sorry for the young lady but there was no way that this mother could stay in the studio..... SO GET A CLUE

Other children or teenagers? If this was threatening then the police should have been informed. I thought you meant Lorre's daughter. And by all means they should have been made to leave.

The police were involved and belive me it was more than once and still continuing.But thank you it was actually pretty scary

I had no idea they charged for that. Maybe the donated it to the high school since they were closing for the cheer leading program. I did not attend so I am not sure. Strange Loree did not attend.

I'm not aware of the ins and outs of Showtime...but have a comment about Ms. Garza. She is not a role model...she hides things from parents...knowing such things could be illegal.
She should not be in charge of a school...she does not protect our children.

I personally think all of you are a bunch of morons. Of course Lorie was profiting from this gym. Of course people were kicked out. This is Alamogordo. It's either sports or bibles in this town. As a member of several different athletic clubs throughout the years I know it's who your parents are and it's how much is in their checking account. My parents busted their asses to make sure the three of us kids did the sports we wanted to and in turn we had to bust ass to make starting positions. It's the way the world works and if you can't get a handle on that you don't belong in a sport. Parents stop thinking about yourselves and focus on your children. Who cares why the gym has to close and why is it so important to slam Lorie?? You people should mind your own business.
