Angel Pagan was a major contributor in June. El Duque can realistically not be expected to help the New York cause in 2008.

I hope Angel gets well for next year, he is a good enough (and young) utiliy outfielder. Keep Pedro sidelined until the 26th, it would only help his recovery and why pitch an unknown Pedro Tuesday against Phils in an important game. Finally, I hope going forward, Omar realizes signing old veteran players (Alou, Hernandez) doesn't work when you need to rely on them everyday. Therefore, no Pedro, Delgado resigning, use the money for youthful free agents. Where stuck with Castillo for now, but hopefully if he sits until healthy (wishful dreaming) he may have some value on this absurd contract.
