Full story: Rant Sports 62
It's abundantly clear that Matt Schaub is the Oakland Raiders ' QB for now. It's equally as clear that Derek Carr is the organization's QB of the future. Read more

what's neat about mcgloin is, he could be that (qb) nobody thought he could be.
that undrafted (qb).
that #4 (qb) of last year that moved his way up to #1
that starting (qb) that got thrown to the back of the bus to #3 by d allen without reason.
only to make room for m schaub and backup (qb) d carr who have never played for the RAIDERS.
mcgloin,,,, hard working. earned his spot last season. keeps quiet and is respectful.
shows his game by his play actions. should have been given the chance to compete for the #1 spot.
he's been known to throw to his (wr's) and give them a chance to fight for the ball. some criticize it some say it's a suicide throw. my opinion on that is... he most likely wouldn't throw it if he felt it didn't have a chance to be caught.
my other opinion is,.. he gained experience from last season.
now, it doesn't mean he's the best out there, it doesn't mean he should get the #1 spot. automatically, but it means he shouldn't have neen thrown back that far.
he simply is focused to his game
and simply, plays to win!
"team mcgloin".

They must keep him...his name is an ironic similar reference to a medical injury when ever he gets pulled from the game too...

Pulled McGloin.....

Schaub should be backing up McGloin or Carr IMO. McGloin has done some great things for us but you still see his accuracy issues here and there. Carr looks great with his quick release and I think he will be starting for the Raiders at some point this season, and McGloin backing him up. I have been more impressed with the backups than the starting QB.. I guess we will have a better look at Schaub when we play GB, the starters will be getting allot of play time. TBD.......

For the Jags to get to their lofty goal of 5 wins they would have to coax a broadcaster out of the booth....TEEBLOW

Jacksonville fans ask Obama to get the Jaguars to sign Tebow

The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on Friday that 165,000 new jobs had been added to the American economy in the last month. But it would have been 165,001 if Tim Tebow had been able to find work.

Some fans in Jacksonville want President Obama to do something about that.

A petition on the White House website asks the president to “Call NFL Jacksonville Jaguars GM David Caldwell and tell him to stop ignoring the Jaguars fans and sign Tim Tebow!”

“If the Jaguars sign & START Tebow,” the petition continues,“home games will be sold out, sales will spike, the team will win and the fans will be happy.”

The organizers are hoping 100,000 Americans will sign the petition, and that the president will put the full weight of the White House behind the fans in Jacksonville who want to see Tebow play in the area where he grew up, and where he became a Heisman Trophy winner and national champion for the Gators. As of Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. Eastern, 315 people had signed the petition.

Caldwell has indicated that he’s dead-set against adding Tebow, and even a presidential directive will probably not be enough to sway him. It seems that the position of “Tim Tebow, backup quarterback” may turn out to be an American job lost to Canada.

UPDATE 11:17 a.m. ET: Just minutes after we posted this item, WhiteHouse.gov took the petition down, saying it violated the site’s terms of participation. We may now have to turn our attention to petitioning the prime minister of Canada to get the Alouettes to sign Tebow.

sOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA TO ME! MAYBE IN KEEPING WITH OTHER TEAM'S LOSING TRADITIONS, THE RAIDERS CAN SEE IF THEY CAN BRING LESTER HAYES AND JACK TATUM OUT OF RETIREMENT SO THEY CAN FIND SOME SORT OF RELEVANCY AND TRY AND KEEP THEIR DISMAL-PERFORMING TEAM FROM BOLTING DOWN TO LOS ANGELES, WHERE THEIR ORGANIZATIONAL NET WORTH WOULD INSTANTLY INCREASE TEN FOLD.

GO GATORS AND THE SEC - ANY OF OUR TEAMS COULD BEAT EITHER THE RAIDERS OR JAGS! LMFAO

The Gaytors went 3-5 in the SEC and 4-8 overall last year. They got little shot at beating decent NCAA teams, let alone any NFL team.

Let me rephrase that....99% of the SEC players who reach the NFL are crap...wouldnt want to upset any Manning fans...
