Death Penalty Pulled In Sean Taylor Murder Case

Prosecutors said Monday they will not seek the death penalty against four people charged with murdering Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor because the accused shooter was a minor when the crime was committed.

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that people cannot be executed for crimes committed when they're under 18, and it's a well established legal principle that others involved in the same case as a minor cannot face the ultimate penalty if they are less directly responsible.

Assistant State Attorney Reid Rubin filed notice Friday that the death penalty will be waived. That means the four suspects could get a maximum of life in prison if convicted of first-degree murder after a trial scheduled to begin Aug. 25. Read more

I think the person who pulled the trigger should be the only with the option of getting the death penalty.

Supreme court needs to adjust some laws, these teenagers knew what they were doing. Of course they were scared, if you break into somebody's house and they are there you'd be scared too.

Well the way I see it is that they should all get life and they shouldnt be able to see the light of day ever again. Sean Taylor was a great player and he was a father for crying out loud. Now his wife has to raise her baby knowing that its father was killed by four punk ass robers.

Sean Taylor would have been big in the NFL, but some dumb ass robbers shot em'. They should be put in jail for life. Thats worse than die in an instant. That will make him wish he was dead!
