When is the Press going to accept the FACT that the OSU Bowl Ban had (1) nothing to do with the TAT 5 or Jim Tressel. And as such, OSU had NO reason to believe any more penalties ( ergo a Bowl Ban ) were forthcoming! The Bowl Ban came about AFTER the TAT 5 when Sports Illustrated reported FALSLY that several additional players ( beyond the TAT 5 )had sold "stuff". This was all proven untrue by the players, their families and an attorney - who actually collected ALL the supposed "stuff" that had been sold which was not!! He sent a detailing to the NCAA who refused to even open his letter!! The NCAA gave the Bowl Ban based on this additional infraction - which NEVER happened.
The TAT 5 were penalized and JT was fired - that shuld have been the end of it!
The NCAA is dsgusting.

I agree with your observation. The NCAA went too far and abused its power to hand punishment (overpunishment is also a violation on itself). We may see it in the case of PSU. I think is time to kick the NCAA out of business or that building in Indiannapolis must go!
