he was injured even with hue jacko in his time here. but the important part for me to watch is if the bengals do pick him up? will he flourish again with hue jackson. or with any team he may join for that matter of fact. i was contradicting mcfadden even when he was doing good with hue jacko. but it's or it was evident jacko had a goood offensive scheme or knew how to use the best of mcfadden. then again, he had fresh legs back then. i hope he does land there and i hope he does good. I i never really cared for mcfadden. i just think he's injury prone and he needs open lanes for him to burst loose. i won't miss him but i wish him luck.

I own Darren's jersey. Only one i've ever bought. I was altogether disappointed in his tenure in Oakland. He had about 15 great games though where he really lived up to what he could have been. Some guys just cannot stay healthy, and we rarely had any kind of consistency around him.

Unfortunate he was so injury prone. He has skills. But skills don't do a lot when you miss half your games. I like McFadden but would be happy to seem him go elsewhere. If he stays healthy, then we need to take a hard look at our trainers.

I am probably one of the few that would like to see the Raiders resign McFadden at a reasonable, incentive-laden contract. The Raiders lack player makers on offense. Yes, he has to be healthy. If they resign Jennings, it would help the situation.

I agree with you it hurts to loose a big play/game threat... This team needs some innovation on offence or more threats!!! But Mcfragile is been pretty useless even when healthy. ITS TIME!!!

Ok. Take a different angle. Perhaps, the Raiders are eyeing Sammy Watkins because of the quick screens, run after the catch yards that seems to fit Olson's offense. McFadden has the same qualities with a bigger body. Most of McFadden's success with Jackson was in the passing game, in the open field type-stuff. WRs have less wear and tear on the body vs. running up the gut. This may seem far-fetched, but jersey numbers were significant in the old regime.#20; the line between WR and RB. Al did not know what he would have exactly when drafting McFadden. Why draft Watkins when you have the guy in house? Because, the creativity of the new regime is equivalent to an artist drawing stick-men.

He was a one season wonder in 2010 when he only missed 3 games but he had over 1000 yards rushing and averaged 5.2 per carry. 2011 looked majorly promising because by week 7 he had a very padded lead as the NFL's leading rusher, but he was injured in week 7 & didn't realize it at the time but ended up being done for the year & it was week 10 before anybody passed him for the NFL rushing lead. Hue Jackson knew how to use him but keeping him healthy was a bigger issue. I just see Rashard Jennings as a better fit for our offense so I guess McFadden's time here is done.

He was nice when we had a system that fit his ability & he was healthy but now I think its time to move on from him

Until I see what we have in Murray, it's hard to say but.......I would like to see the Raiders sign DMC to a cheap "incentive-laden" contract (as Freddy put it). Definitely no big Pay Day for DMC because we know he will get injured but he's one of the few play-makers we have. Every time he touches the ball there is a chance for a huge play or even a TD.....or an injury.

I would like to see Jennings, DMC and Murray in the backfield.

If Bengals offer him a big contract, then let him walk.

When was the last time DMac actually had a big play for the raiders?? As RM has stated many times,(which I agree)...DMac has no moves, and needs a hole big enough for a truck to drive threw!!! I think McFadden even healthy would be a backup and goal line back!!! Which by the way I did like when he was in goal line and they used him as a throw/run threat!!!! I just feel it's time to look down different avenues!!!(free agent)

one too many chances! either that or we don't have the right coaches to keep him here. plus, he didn't show any signs of change even in a bad situation. keeping jennings is the right thing to do. we know nothing about or 2012 draft pick other than he knows how to get injured too. there is this guy from auburn (rb) tre mason that broke bo jackson's single season record of 1,786 to 1, 816 in a season and has had two one thousand, season rushing years. he was a nominee for the heisman this season. maybe a lil short but they say he compares to ray rice of the ravens. probably expected to land in the second rnd. i'm not sure of our picks in total but i hop he lands to us or reggie goes after him. i just like his toughness in running. A "liiiiiiittle bully"
