He killed an innocent girl! He might have been a good man, but he should be punished as anyone else might have been. It's BS! I don't know how people sleep at night!

This is a news thread. If you look at the above post it is straight out of the news sentinel, however if you want to hear my thoughts on the matter I will be glad to share them with you. I think his wrong path and decision he made that day was one he should have to pay for. 48 hrs in jail, 800 hrs community service and revoked license for 3 years, if I knew that's all I would get I would go take care of my ex husband today with no worries. This man with his "wrong path" as you put it not only hit that girl on her bicycle but he dragged her down the road while her friend watched and then drove away. He deserves the same thing the rest of us would get for such an act. I have never been ashamed to say where I'm from till today. Like they say, what you don't pay for here while on this earth you will pay for when your gone. His days a coming, sooner or later he will get what he deserves if not in this life, well you get my point.

What you don't pay for here on Earth you will pay for when you are gone? Seriously? Where exactly do you get this information? Passed down from generation to generation? Better read your Bible again cause that ain't what it says. And FYI gossip is a sin too. And in GOD'S eyes sin is sin. So your gossip is just as bad as his driving drunk.

And if she wasn't in the middle of the road in the middle of the night it wouldn't have happened. Her family gets that. Why can't the rest of you?

Yeah he still should have got more out of it but I knew it was coming that even if he were sober he probably still would have hit her.

If you are gonna post using "the truth" for your posting name you need to KNOW the truth. NO actually you do not. First offense DUI for ANYBODY is 48 hours in jail.

Look it up.

If her family gets that why do they have him sued for 11 million dollars. She was on a bike route and he was drunk. One of the many times he drove drunk and he killed someone. If he was innocent why did he plead guilty to vehicular homicide, which is murder?Im an atheist so go ahead and kiss my ass. I prefer retribution here on earth unlike you hypocrtical bible thumpers. If you are the good christian you think you are how do you feel about holding up a murderer?Jeses would be so proud of you for blaming the victim.

Cocke county needs a new judge. One that's not afraid to prosecute even political figures. That's bs. Shows that the laws are different if you have money. At least in Cocke county anyway.

They knew they were getting railroaded and him now being a convicted felon makes there civil lawsuit so much easier to prove. It doesn't matter who agreed to it,it doesn't make it ethical. This is far from being over. Now we need to move on to getting the convicted felon off the election commitee.

He will pay for it. You can't do something like that and get away with it. Mr Ford would not have supported a verdict with that punishment if that had been a child or family member of his. This world may allow him to walk away but eventually he will pay.
