You are a total fool.Remember when they were SO HAPPY to bring Joe J back home? And now he is at the end of the bench for a guy who is apparently cancer in the clubhouse to be on his 4th team in 4 years.
Another white guy goes to the bench.... this team really is the BROWNS....

This move for Stallworth seals the deal. DA ain't going anywhere because 'The Savage' GM wants to win NOW! Can you trade GM's? I mean if you could I'd love to have this guy on my team.

stallworth was not a bad pickup, however the browns defense is not very good at all. Steelers still rule afc north. Every once in a while one of the bottom feeder teams get good, maybe even win the division (ravens one SB) but it never lasts long because those teams sell out to win now and do not know how to build a stable winning organization. Good luck paying for overpriced castoffs. The steelers will address their needs later and in the draft as always and will win the division and be in the championship this year.

Well done Phil.

This is a good move by the Browns. Stallworth failed in situations where he was asked to be the #1 receiving option, but in Cleveland he'll be option #3 behind Edwards and Winslow. And by giving Anderson (or Quinn, should Anderson falter) one more quality target he'll make the Browns offense, already one of the league's best, even more dangerous.

I hope your right but I gotta say I don't think its gonna be a great year next season. Savage was just, well, SAVAGE when it came to signing players this week. Remeber, we tied for the division wins and our big move was losing FAneca. Savage knew they were just a few players away. Instead of going all defense, he made the offense stronger to help the defense. Dudes got Brass down low. |

Hey Dawg777 I like how you think when you talk about the Browns being unstoppable but there is no way that Derek Anderson is going to be traded. He was an All-Pro alternate that didn't have a great game in Hawaii because he was pretty rusty but look out next year. The Browns have weapons and more weapons and they're starting to fill in the gaps on defense. You can buy your Super Bowl tickets anytime at TickeTron. Go Browns go Browns go Browns!

Maybe we(Browns fans) will get back all the losers born and raised here in Ohio that have been suckling the Steelers teat for some reason. There is nothing that I hate more than black and gold on people that have never lived in Pa. |

ESPN, CBSSPORTS,FOXSPORTS, SI, the Browns are now the team to beat in the AFC North. I'm asking thre steeler fans did they switch divisions? Oh no they are just on there downward slide. No cowher no power. Tomlin rode the coat tails of Cowhers previous coaching. Watch this year and die the black and gold death with them.

As a long time football fan i have never seen a defense get better by building the offense. also the formula is a flawed one. Old fans have seen this many times. Vikings of he 70,S, chargers with dan fouts, bills, dolphins etc. one exception is rams but even that lasted one season. Even the pats could not seal the deal. The key for the steelers to combat this is to get consistent on defense with better safety play (smith) and better play from o-line(it can and will be done even without alan). Also give the coach a chance to mature after all he was a rookie head coach last year and did pretty well.

To steeler who, experts get paid to pick based on paper and stats. The steelers are hardly ever picked to win the division , they just do. Also real play is months away, free agency just started and the draft has not happened yet. I wonder which of those experts picked the giants to win the sb, especialy at the beginning of the year. Also one year here one year there, it happens but the team everyone is chasing in the division for the past 35 years is the steelers.

I definitely can't complain about what Savage has done so far. The offense is set and the DL is definitely stronger. What I'm wondering is how he's gonna be able to get a couple of decent LB's and an extra DB. I don't think there's gonna be much to choose from in the last three rounds of the draft (especially with everyone saying that there aren't as many quality players in this year's draft), though I suppose there could be some surprises there.
How much money do the Browns have left to chase down free agents? Anyone have an abacus? SAVAGE: I know what you're asking yourself. Was that five million dollars or six? To tell you the truth, in the all the excitement I kinda lost track myself. So you gotta ask yourself: Do you feel lucky? |

I like your upbeat way of thinking but I also have to be practical. These additions were not soley made to get to the SB. I think they were made to win the division. Specificly, turn a 31-28 type of loss into a 35-31 win or better with more time of possession. If the Steelers don't adjust for Faneca's loss, it might just be enough to close the gap. Savage made some bold moves and you gotta admire that. He's not falling for all the BQ is God talk. |
Dont forget five super bowl championships,ah...how many do the browns have? But we love you guys...really we do! |

I had to go back and double-check after reading these comments, but it seems this was an article about THE BROWNS signing Stallworth. Did you guys get lost? Maybe take a wrong turn at the internet cafe? |

Bob, everything we talk and have talked about was spurred by the Stallworth signing. The Stallworth part of it is not a big deal with out the other moves that were made. the fact that they resigned DA, got Stallworth, made a defensive aquisition, and we haven't even reached the draft yet means Savage is working his savagry to his fullest to overtake the Steelers this year. He's gonna put all the cards on the table and bet it all this year! |
No disrespect silent bob,but if youre not a steelers or a brownie, then you should remain silent....Bob.Cause we go way back! |

The browns made bold and good moves i will agree. I also have to agree that they may be mortgaging the future to win now. I understand they have no 1-3 picks giving up early draft picks just does not seem wise to me. Also we lost the division to cincy, still won the sb. to many fans look at free agency kind of like fantasy football. The reality is there is a salary cap and there is the coaching up process that is more valuable than many think. I for one think that to much is put on what happened in the past season as it has been proven that last years success does not translate into success this year. Also the better our division rivals get the better we get because we have to play that much harder. time will tell but i do not see us becoming a doormat anytime soon.

i think its pretty funny that you act all big and proud of beating the browns when it was pretty clear and simple that your team just had more talent than we did. now it seems to me that you are starting to get a little scared cause the talent level s are starting to get even.you are right, we could'nt stop anyone on d thats why they picked up those f agents. just think if we had any type of a d last year, you dont win a game last year vs us. you guys beat up on teams that your better than but when you play teams that are as good as you and loose, you make up excuses. but its okay for u to do it, but when we make excuses its us crying all the time. thats the sure sign of little punks that cant deal with a little negative flack about your team. i remember your fans giving maddox crap all the time, so don't give me that crap that are fans are the only ones that do that. yuor are clueless. whats gona happen when your team falls on its face this year, oline issues. and your overated qb shows what people here have been saying for years. its pretty easy to win games when your d only gives up 10 points a game. i cant wait when you starting calling for his head. and by the way you guys cant even hold are jocks when it comes to fans. everybody has a good fan base when your winning. lets see you have about 7 yrs of horrible football then come talk to me. oh thats right you did when the steelers first started . one winning season in 35 yrs. but that didn't count right because football back then was easy, but you celebrated 75yrs this year but just left those years out. the fact is you WERE the laughing stock of the nfl for 35 yrs. even your owner said you were. smack |

The 49ers have five rings too. Big freaking deal, they suck now. Keep squwaking, you know your team isn't all that good. |
