If the Ravens want to give Boller a contract extension, he better grab it before they change their mind. I'm sure nobody's going to give this turd a starting job. If he's stupid enough to test free agency he's going to be very disappointed.

Look at that picture perfect
shot-putter form of Kyle on the front of this article, looks like he's trying to throw a cannonball! Please let him got to another NFL team, preferably to start for another AFC team so that the Ravens will be guaranteed at least one victory! Please Ozzie, DO NOT BRING KYLE BACK! There are MANY more talented backup QBs to be signed other than Boller! Tim Rattay is now available, bring him in Ozzie; he is a MUCH better QB than Boller will ever be. I mean, look at Boller's throwing form in the picture for this article; Boller is not meant to throw footballs, he is meant to be tossing fish at the downtown food martket! |

Hensley, were do you get the information for this sentence of yours: "Boller is considered one of the top backups in the league."?
Please provide some facts to back this statement up; this is your OPINION and is not fact unless you can prove it, which I am positive you cannot! Boller is horrible at QB, and the people of Baltimore can only hope Kyle will go to another team to start for and that the Ravens play that team twice a year, because it will at least assure the Ravens of winning at leats those two games! |

Boller isn't a horrible QB. Maybe not the starter you're looking for, but he's a pretty good backup. Doesn't matter how he throws. Last year I think he was 2-1 as a starter in place of McNair. He knows the Ravens offensive system too, which is valuable. And, by God, he can throw the deep ball to Demitrius Williams. I love that hookup.

I've figured out Boller's passing inaccuracy problems; If you examine the picture of Boller getting ready to hurl the football in the picture for this article, you will see that the football is pinting towards the ground instead of at the receiver he is looking to hurl the football at. This one picture explains Boller's horrid QB rating; Boller's QB rating would be Hall of Fame worthy if it took into account balls hurled in the dirt!

Yeah, he has the worst throwing form I have seen in an NFL QB in watching the NFL over 44 years! He isn't even looking down field at his target in the picture. His arm angle is all wrong, and he's not even standing straight! How any scout could not eyeball this is beyond belief. He will end up in the CFL and struggle there to hang on eventually. Just a matter of time!

Those of us with friends retarded enough to buy into ESPN's "Insider" Access (or stupid enough to buy it themselves) would have read the exact aritcle that listed all the backup QB's in the league.
Boller was fourth in that article. And seriously, all the hate aside, it's absolutely true. Boller was thrown right into the mix of things in his rookie year, he was given the keys to the offense without any insurance, without any experience and without a passenger who could show him the way. Look at all the "hot young" QBs out there right now, and realize how many years they were behind a much more skilled veteran experience before they got their shot. Phillip Rivers, Tom Brady (People forget about the Patriots Drew Era so easily), Tony Romo (another QB behind Drew, but he still has questions about his performance/if he can live up to it), and historically much more if I actually took the time to research this. With McNair taking over the offense and Boller taking a backseat he was able to finally learn behind a veteran player. Boller looked extremly good in the games where McNair sat out and another year can only do him wonders. He will be a very good QB in the NFL once he gets his second chance, the main question is if it will be for the Ravens or for another NFL team. Plus, we all know McNair is made of glass anyway, so we'll probably see Boller by week 8. |

I love all the comments about how great a backup Boller had become. He doesn't even have two full NFL games as a backup under his belt to make that proclamation. Heck Anthony Wright had a similar (plus 100 rating) as a backup last season in limited action. Boller is a putrid road QB period. Being a backup isn't going to change that fact one iota. I don't get where all this crap comes from. Boller still looked lost during preseason even.

Great comment from you so very true yes McNair is a little fragile right now but give him credit he's done well for us. Can't wait to kick the Bungles around |

I think it's hilarious that the Sun found a picture of Boller tripping over his own feet to go with the article. Very appropriate.
All this means is that the Ravens aren't going to pay Boller starter money, and he'll be playing for the Lions or the Bucs next year. No one in their right mind thinks McNair is going to be around three years from now, and with this news the Ravens have said that Kyle Boller is not the successor. |

Well, it would be bot poetic justice, and what management would really deserve, were Boller to go to another team, and then become both their starting QB, and a great QB.
What management was thinking (?) when they threw this poor guy (young too!) into the meatgrinder, without any help, and not to mention a poor offensive line, is beyond me! How Boller was supposed to throw the ball, and accurately to boot, while literally running for his life, is actually the real question! He should have been given a combat medal, and three more offensive linemen, and/or receivers to throw to, just to even the odds up a bit! Actually, I am really impressed with him, as he took all of these failings,(not of his making!) in manful silence, and made the best of it! Could you imagine what we would have gone through, had they actually signed Moss as a W/R? We still got screwed in that deal! What was management thinking on that one too? Appreciate Boller for the solid backup he is, and where he did a great job pinch hitting for McNair. Boller will have to come in again, as McNair has a history of being hurt, he will march us down the field, to a critical win, and all this 'trash talk' will be forgotten! Remember, football was ALSO willing to overlook a bandylegged, awkward, poor mechanics throwing, QB a few years back, who's #19 likeness graces the stadium his success helped build! Sometimes the dimond in the rough is the hardest ones to see! |

Go back to VA and cheer for the Redskins, loser.

For those of us who can read Chuck, he does back it up. Boller had the 3rd best back up QB rating, and since QB rating RATES QUARTERBACKS, Kyle was the third best. Gee, didn't think that was a hard concept to grasp...

So true Big Joey. Unitas did not impress the fans when he first arrived. No one thought he was any good but he really proved them wrong. However, Boller has been here for 4 years now. He has my utmost respect for the way he handled being taken down to the No. 2 slot but every time I see him he still seems to trip up all over himself when he goes back to pass. It's almost like he can't stand up straight. If he could get over that (and with doing this for 4 years I doubt he will) he could be a really good QB.

With Suggs set to become a free agent do we really need to keep Boller? I think Ozzie should think about resignig Suggs first...

Boller does not need to come back to the Ravens. Baltimore needs to start fresh at the quarterback position after Mcnair leaves. They dont need a good quarterback, they need a great one. Boller and Leftwhich will never be great quaterbacks. We need to either draft one next year (as in trade up) or get a free agent if there are any out there. The situation is dire. We need some offense. Defense cannot win football games anymore in the NFL, not with the brady's and the payton's and the river's out there.

Other teams have thrown new quarterbacks into the mix with much sucess such as Arizona, Pittsburgh, Tennesse, Seattle - just to name a few

With all the over analyzing that goes on today (QB is too short, too slow, weak arm, low delivery, hitch in his delivery, mental toughness, side stepping ability etc), it's amazing that no one alerted the Ravens brass of all the downside to KB. His form is atrocious and seems to be getting worse. all his passes look like shot puts. |
