ok so I had to miss the last of the race this last weekend as we had a previous engagement to be at,(wife hasnt learnd how to schedule events yet, she still thinks racing only happens on Sunday for which I do nothing!) so I have to find the espn rerun of it this week, cause I didnt hit the darn record button on the way out the door!
Having met Kurt and Kyle a few yrs back when they were still on the saturday night local circut. They both have the drive and heart for it.
There will never be any one like Petty, Earnhart Sr. and many others, but give them a chance some will turn out like stewart who should have been banned from racing a few yrs back. Though Stewart has mellowed out dramaticly now. Every driver out there has a good and bad day. Dale Jr. day is lasting a couple years, and yes he is a talented driver, but with "TEI" how could anyone have the motivation to drive? when it was truly DEI he did fine.

Kyle was racing in groove and staying there. Junior was all over the high side. Junior decided he wanted Kyle's groove and started to move down into it while Kyle was still there. Guess he thought that the one with the most fans has the right of way. Thought racing was about fast cars, skill and courage. I didn't know the outcome of a race should be decided by the number of fans wearing a given color.

It is apparent you dont watch and havent watche dracing. Have you not noticed the fact that all the damn cars are basicly the same, leaving realy only the driver as the variable now, or have you been breathing the exhaust a littl to much lately?
Many drivers make mistakes all the time, hence why there is only one winner, and not a mass 43 car tie! I wonder were could we race at to see that!

I would just like to know where you people get that Jr fans think that other drivers should race him different. I personally want Jr to win, but would never want it handed to him. Any real fan does not want a victory that way.

And your recollection of what happened there between KB and Jr is laughable. KB had plenty of room. There was half a car with between the driver side and the white line. KB over drove the car. Plain and simple.

The people of the so called Jr. Nation think that others dislike Jr. for his success, in my case that is wrong. I do not hate or strongly dislike Jr. I only know that Jr. was deprived of a father when he needed him most and a lot of his actions while in the last couple of years at DEI was a perfect example of that need. Teresa Earnhardt hit the nail on the head when she told Dale to make up his mind and either be a racer or a personality, the old saying always comes to mind, "Before you act like a champion, become a champion". Teresa Earnhardt is a very smart lady and is prehaps more responsible for current drivers being able to make so much money off of off track sales, through her company Sports Image she became the caretaker of the retained rights to marketing of anything having to do with a driver. She also learned first hand, first from her (Brother or uncle, never can remember the exact relationship) Tommy Houston and later from her partnership with Sr. just what it took to become a great driver and champion in racing. Jr.'s little grandstand play of wanting 51% if a company (he had nothing to do with the building) without being willing to pay fair market price was the big thing that turned me off to him. If he wanted a race team he had Jr. motorsports, why not go his own way with that team. People, so you see that more things than envy are involved in not being a Jr. fan.

a class act was how mark martin raced bush after the restart. there is no way kyle belived his car would stick after trying to get around jr for 17 laps, just drove it in to bounce off for the win. would have loved to see mark do the same . just another punk kyle loser.

Something is very wrong here. I find myself agreeing with O. B. M. I will still say that Jr. is my favorite driver.

I did watch the replay several times and basically when they really got going at it, I got all excited because there was racing really going on. Then about a half lap before the mess I thought "this isn't going to end well." My perception was that Kyle went in using the same line he had in the previous line, expecting (probably not the best thing to do) Jr to use the same line had had used the previous lap. I think Jr knew he had an advantage off of the corner but Kyle had the advantage in the center of the corner, but needed room to make it work. He made a decision at that point to change his line, not move into Kyle's line, just run a lower line than he had in the previous corner. Therefore Kyle didn't have the room to get through the corner like before and he got loose. It was fun and exciting racing and both made decisions that didn't work out for them.

I keep going back to Tony and Kevin at Bristol. Same scenario and I knew it wasn't going to end well, but it sure was fun. Though I think the back waxing the next day kept us from talking about it for a week.

Also, I'm going to have to say, if jumped someone's you know what every time he/she said something stupid out of anger we'd be screaming at each other every day. I read the quote everyone was talking about that Kyle said, and put in context he said something stupid because he was mad. Remember he's 23 and probably doesn't think before he speaks when he is angry. Heck Tony still has that problem. That's the problem with the media insisting on sticking a camera in a drivers face right after a wreck, they get stuff like this, which is far more entertaining to milk for a week than a well thought out response after a cool off period. What I don't understand is when Jeff Burton implied that Micheal McDowell would learn the hard way if he continued to race the way he was, and he'd be willing to teach him,(we all know what he meant), no one got all bent out of shape about it. I realize generally Jeff Burton is a good guy, but see how sometimes people mis-speak when they are angry.

I have nothing against Mark and will be torn apart for this, but in case you have not noticed, his ploy is ALWAYS to ride it out in the shadows of the leader and capitalize when catastrophy hits the leader.. if you admire that, that is your choice.. I don't like survivors, I like racers and I hope Tony never ever is satisfied with taking what is left after the leader crashes out.. and I hope Kyle, Denny, Tony, Carl and anyone else who races for the lead the entire race each week keeps it up because if not for them, it would be Dega last year every week and NASCAR would go Kaput

Let's not take this too seriously, folks.
Lyle Lyle Crocodile strikes again. Oh, well.
How can any sport be taken seriously that abandons their fan base, uses foreign equipment, and changes their venue to include a country that condones invasion of ours, all in the name of chasing the almighty dollar.
Who do they think they are? Disney? McDonalds? KFC?
Golly Gee. That's funny. That's sad. That's stupid.
THAT'S NASCAR !!!
Not so sure

But Mark is aware he doesn't have the car to win, so he does what he can to try to get into position to win just in case. Either that or drive like a nut and wreck. He's an opportunist.
Kind of like Clint Bowyer did to win, I think it's ok to do that.

I don't think it's appropriate though to lump all Jr fans into the same bowl though. Some of us actually have manners and use them. We even have class and character too. Being sarcastic.
Because I choose to be a Jr fan everyone puts me in the same category as the others who throw trash, beer bottles, cans, and hurl vulgarities at other drivers.
I'm not those people nor will I ever be.
I know Jr's not GOD nor is any other driver out there. I also know he's human and errors. We all do, to be sure.
Have a care people not every Jr fan is a fool.
You've missed some of my past comments in this thread. I don't think you're all the same. I've said it quite a few times.
