If Vick were Peyton Manning it would be another story. No matter what the issue- it always come down to race. No one is saying what he is accused of is right, but he being a 100 million dollar black quarterback does not help his cause. I think that most intelligent people will still say "let the court deceide the case" That's all that I've been reading on the other post in rubuttal to the rushing to justice folks out there.

So this guy put a few dogs that were bred to fight in a pit, and let them do what they love.

That doesn't seem too bad to me. People having been breeding and fighting dogs since there have been dogs. There are some websites that show the lineage of some famous fighting dog families and they have pictures and documentation that goes back over 100 years.

Your tax money is buying guns for children so they can be shipped off to shoot and kill other children, and you're going to complain about a guy letting dogs fight each other?

WHY I WILL NOT BUY THIS TOY:
Chere Garrard, with the Humane Society says the website selling the toy may not be all it seems.
"We're skeptical as to whether that Organization is on the up and up," said Garrard.
The first she'd heard of the donations came from the media, not the company selling the toy.
Another problem is that it's practically impossible finding the company, which claims to be based here in Jacksonville.
Since the donations offer from the website was made. it's been taken back, saying:
"Due to unforeseeable circumstances and squabbling over charitable donations, our statement claiming we will donate proceeds from the "Vick dog chew toy" has been removed. We will now do so anonymously," said the www.vickdogchewtoy.com website.

The Jacksonville Humane Society says they wouldn't accept the offer anyway, since Vick hasn't yet been convicted of anything.

I ordered and paid for this toy the minute I heard about it on August 6, before it was featured on the News. Shipping was to be August 7. On August 7, the toy and price had changed, as well as shipping date (now being approx 6 weeks away. The revised toy has no resemblence to M. Vick, and in fact looks more like Cynthia Mcinney.

I don't care about the time he served, his corny ass "feel sorry for me" book, or how much money he donated to make up for it. If Sandusky came out and said, "I'm sorry for raping little boys, so here is a book and a few million dollars," I think all of you would still hate Sandusky. But since Michael Vick is black, people think its racist. And since he's a great football player, people want to forgive him. Yeah, feel bad for the black guy raised in the hood to think that dog killing for a sport is okay. And I don't give a fuck where the money goes for this toy. If I want my PITBULL to eat Michael Vicks head, then damn right my PITBULL will swallow that toy for breakfast. Just because he was killing dogs doesn't make it any better than him killing people. Vick forced innocent animals to fight to the death. They had no say. They were made to do this. And as if that wasn't sick enough, when he and his homies didn't think one of those abused animals wasn't aggressive or vicious enough for his perverted needs, he admittedly participated in hanging them, drowning them, beating them to death, and electrocuting them. This is the sick piece of shit that people without morals or ethics still look up to, admire, and respect.

It really is a very good example of why this world is so GD F..'d up. Anyone who realizes what vick did and doesn't think it is that big of a deal is, for lack of better words, pretty much a sick piece of shit also. When your morals and sense of decency are so warped that you can in any way justify or excuse that type of degeneracy, you really need to go find that cave you slimed yourself out of and crawl back in it for a few more centuries.
