2 Dale Sr died at the Daytona 500 in 2001. Seven years ago our sport lost a hero. A legend among drivers. Senior effectively had at the time the largest fan base of any driver. These fans were true fans of NASCAR as well as its roots. This death caused a huge hole for Sr fans. They could no longer enjoy the spectacle of the man in black coming through the field like a dog on the hunt. They found parts of the driver they loved in his son, driving his cars, for a team and company that he built. These fans almost immediately jumped into the Jr Nation. With Bud backing Jr became the most recognizable driver in NASCAR. More fans equal more sponsorship opportunities. Exposing more people to the cute looking son of the legend. Jr had had some success, took a couple Daytona 500's, Nationwide Championships, 17 Sprint Cup victories. His most recent win came at Richmond in 2006. Jr is the most popular driver in NASCAR because of his father. If you are like this guy: http://www.daleearnhardt.net/fancenter/fanpic... You are backing a driver because of who is not for how well he drives. That's acceptable to average fans I suppose, but for those of you who are very passionate about about your racing, its almost embarrassing for you. This whole deal with Kyle is unfortunate. Kyle is now basically hated for being a good driver. I actually read somewhere that members of Jr Nation were actively seeking people who were wearing Kyle stuff to harass them after the race. Incredible. To those of you who were doing this (probably not the people here) I have to say that that's psychotic. Perhaps I got a little of the psycho in me. Because I just hope that someone Fs with me because of the drive I support. Seriously. Remember this you drunken knuckle draggers: you never know who your messing with. So just try to be adults out there for a change. I know its the same people who throw beer cans at Gordon. You are a stain on the sport. Jr fans have had Teresa to blame for years. Now he is at Hendricks Motorsports. HE STILL HASN'T WON. Were 10 races into this season. Blame Kyle for last weekend if you choose, last weekend didn't cause Jr not to win for the previous 9 (I'm not even gonna talk about his nationwide performance this season). I bet a quick search on YOUTUBE would reveal a whole mess of videos dedicated to the intimidator doing much more blatant stuff to other people than Kyle did. You set the stage for it not being what you do but who you do it too. That's retarded. If you want to support the driver who makes the most commercials and celebrity appearances, then by all means go right ahead. I'll be collecting me some wins with the 18,20,11. EULA: By responding negatively to this post you acknowledge that you like Jr because your suppose too. Because that's what his daddy would have wanted. |

2 It's still early. Jr will win, I have faith and in case you missed it, he did win the first two races of the year. Jr does not want to be like his daddy and never tries to be. He is a class act, he does not make snide remarks about other drivers. |

1 I don't hate it. I guess you forgot That Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth have not won a race yet. |

2 Because you benefited from everyone else jumping on the Jr bandwagon. He was the most popular driver, so he became your favorite. I'm knocking the fans of Jrs who are out to get Kyle and his fans. I've always thought jr was way overrated. I've just read so much red-neck hatred towards Kyle that I felt dishing back was in order. "If Jr dropped out of racing tomorrow his fans would leave in droves. They would not back anyone else. " Quote of the F'n year. |

1 Well that is how you feel. I was never a fan of Sr's, when I saw Jr race in the Busch Series, I knew he had talent, and he does. |

1 Then your not really who I addressed in the initial post. You just carried the conversation along. Ive read a lot of your post over the last few weeks, I haven't disagreed much with you. Like I said, your not really the subject of my topic. Fair enough? |
