How nice of the ij writer with a man crush on weir and moechler to devote another article of misleading, baseless information, to flatter his novato friends. Maybe they are big names if you include marketing, or being popular telling jokes and farting around a fire, but they are marginal pro's . Then the cyclocross downhill, very obscure category and obscure mid winter venue, so are those great results if none of the top u.s. riders show up? Start listing norba nationals podium finishes, or world cup. There are many more talented bay area racers from past and present who are deserving of coverage than your novato crew this reporter is embedded with (in bed with).

Offgrid, pls stay out of Marin. Thx. Oh, and next time you park your Audi at the Java Hut and run stop signs and act like you own this place, please instead get back in your car and go back to your boring ass trails in the east bay, you know, the paved ones that you share with the families.

I do live in marin, am a marin native, and have done hundreds of races, which is why I'm qualified to label bulls*^*^hit in marin media when I see it.

Yeah, you're right. The IJ should have not published an article about great bikers from Novato. They absolutely should write articles about mountain bikers that don't live here. You know what, why do the report on the local high schools? How silly. De La Salle has a much better football program, not to mention the schools in the city. What a ridiculous concept that a paper with "Marin" in its name actually just talks about Marin riders.

I include marin when I say bay area. The high school teams reporting is accurate and great. I'm saying there are real mtbike icons and heros in marin, but the ij writer seems to think a couple of 30 year olds from novato invented the sport. This is not the first article with the same distorted slant. It's crap. If you choose to not see it, I could care less.

Fat Tire (aka J. Parulis) had to chime with his bike hating rant. Next, we'll have MVD and Terry the tail nazi spewing their illogical venom as well.

Big thumbs up to the high school kids who go around the state racing their mountain bike. They're great ambassadors for the sport.

Bravo Zebulon! We should applaud all young men and women with such a passion for the sport. Sounds like offgrid is a sore loser. Maybe he should issue Novato a challenge...if he dare.

J. Parulis isn't known for logic (9/11 was an inside job... interesting how the people who are charged with planning 9/11 haven't backed him up on that, in fact, they have repeatedly taken credit).

Terri has issues.

Kudos to the kids on the bicycles, making us proud.
