I am not sure what is worse. The same old status quo gopher putrid or the lame student section.

I went to the game today expecting a rabid crowd. I should have known better. Same 85 year old fans and the weakest student section in the Big Ten.

Nothing has changed, now I just get to watch the same old outside rather than inside the dome. Whoo-peeeeeeee

I watched Navy beat Notre Dame, TCU rout SAN DIEGO STATE,
can someone tell me what these teams have that we don't.
How many years will it take Brewster to compete with the BIG TEN schools, so far he has been a flop? It seems as the year goes by they get worse. Someone tell Brewster
Action speaks louder than words.

the Gophers are in the same position they were 10 years ago under Mason..where is the improvement?

Weber was a good quarterback.
He is demoralized by the constant change, the coaches need to run trick plays, setting up schemes that don't match the players strength.
Brewster may be a good recruiter, but his coaching skills are another matter.
Wish Mason had a chance to coach these guys.

If we had any pride, we would announce that no bowl bid will be accepted this year.Brewster is a numskull.

angry, embarresed, and sad but mostly its sad to know we have a university that will never be a factor in major college football. Its sad to know that if brew won this game, he would get a contract extension by joel. The boys came out of the gates in their brand new stadium, on a gorgeous day, against their coaches alma matter, Flat! Don't blame the kids, they were recruited to come here and are doing thier best. Its sad.

Brewster isn't going anywhere. But he'll probably fire the offensive coordinator so they can start all over next season. Again.

Please all of you stop crying !!!!! These kids and coaches that everyone is bashing have families.Would any of you like to be sitting at the game and have to listen to the fans call your brother, son or husband being called all sorts of names? These players want to win more than you want them too and when they make mistake they feel worse than you could ever imagine.Good fans support their team win or lose !No Tony Dungy is not going to be the coach or AD he doesn't have the personality to coach college he is too passive!!!

Way too many mistakes in the first half to win. The woeful offensive line not only gave up 7 sacks again, but it tells you the coaches' faith when they're on the half yard line with second and goal and he tries a bootleg by the quarterback. Not punching it in there 3 times from a half yard out cost you the game when you had to settle for 3. Iowa could be without their starting quarterback in two weeks, but the Gophers probably aren't going to score on their defense either. And, I wouldn't count on a win next week either. South Dakota State has one of the better teams in Division 1-AA.

Nope, not when you're part of the Little 7. The Gophers have a chance to beat or be beaten by the Little 7 any week. The Big 4? That's another story. Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Iowa play in a different league and at a different level than Brewster's team. The offensive line is awful. That big #71 at right tackle can't pass block and even gets pushed backward by smaller guys run blocking!

...talent on the team to win big time. Hoese should have been used to "bull" it in, instead of smallest back used, then settle for FG. Pretty easy decision that has been missed for 3 years now. They did it in the fourth qtr. and it worked great for TD's. These coaches are really outmatched and look as if they are guessing on what to do. They have no "feel" for the game situation and can't even recognize guys who can tackle and play intelligently. Brew recruits for speed, but should think of tackling, smarts and heart first. A missed tackle on the big 42 yard play cost them the game, which we had to get lucky to be in anyhow. Why hasn't Kuznik been thrown to this year? He is a great possesion receiver and is a smart player. Lawrence should be a SSafety and whoever recruited Collato, Trey Simmons and Sherrells, doesn't know beans about coverage and tackling db's. Illinois helped make it a close game and we still couldn't get it done. Go out and hire the best high school coaches in MN and form a staff. Enough of scholarships to mediocre fast guys from all over U.S. that have to adjust to college and being so far from home and acting ghetto. Lets get back to fundamentals. They have been lost. The HS coaches that should be selected should all have winning records because of coaching and not just the ones from the "big" schools that recruit from other schools to win. Look at how good the walkons do when given the chance and I know of plenty of big time players that didn't even get a chance in practice becuase of favoritism by asst. coaches etc.... Brew, they will be the downfall of you. I am sorry. End of Story.

Time for a changing of the guard again. This coach has had his chance, fire this loser and bring in someone who knows how to win, maybe even someone with coaching experience this time?

Enjoy all the whiney comments. It must be great to be a Gooopher fan....always something to cry about. Helps to get your mind off the fact that you always lose. Basketball isn't far away and that should be better. Oops forgot most of those guys won't be playing cuz they're in trouble or can't cut the academics. Oh well there's always hockey. Oops again they're no good either. Guess I know why you're whiney....nothing works.

As a former season ticket holder for many years and watched all the goofy coaches the various AD's have hired to attempt to take this football program out of the dumps, this guy may be the worst. All talk and no action. Maturi as the current AD is in big trouble. This is his failure.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Taurus

Are you in listening mode today? Let's hope so because someone wants to bend your ear and they're hoping that you can spare the time and energy for them. Although your first instincts may tell you to give them plenty of advice, try to stop yourself volunteering it unless it's asked for. Even then, you may get the sense that you're really being asked to listen, not talk.
