Lets review, simply waiting 101 years to luck into a World Series championship has not worked, buying a World Series championship has not worked and grooming their own talent to win a World Series championship has not worked. What exactly would the upside be for the Cubs by not trading for one of the top five pitchers in the game? If you ask me there are too many teams in baseball already. The Cubs should exit the league since they have proven that they cannot compete on the major league level and turn the team and stadium into a combination of the Harlem Globetrotters and Six Flags. They can create a patsy opponent like the Washington Generals and play them in a mock World Series seven days per week during the spring and summer and of course win the fictional title every time. The attendance would be the same as people would still go there to party but the profit margins would go through the roof because they could use cheap actors and bust outs instead of the clowns they are paying major league salaries to now. And the Cubs faithful would get a World Series Championship every week. It's not like they would know the difference between a real one and a pretend one.

They could re-sign DeRosa and let the male Cub fans swoon over him again

MLB would be more than happy to unload the Cubs... That is one embarrassing franchise. I'm sure MLB would want to put a second team in Chicago also.

I love these idiot Sox fans...I've seen this Nada Surf guy before. Are you really that dumb or are you just saying it to get a rise out of a bunch of anonymous people on the internet? That in itself is pathetic. If you're that dumb well it's just sad.
I mean, I might hate the White Sox, but I would never suggest that a team that old (like the Cubs) simply be folded or moved. And how exactly does a professional sports league "unload" a team? Finally, what exactly have the Sox done over their last 109 years that are that much more impressive than what the Cubs done? One more world series title suddenly puts them in a class with the Yankees, Lakers and Celtics?

As for unloading a pro sports team as you put it go ask the Seattle Supersonic fans or Los Angeles Rams fan or the original Cleveland Browns how quickly and easily it can be done. As for questioning stating that the Sox have not accomplished much more than the Cubs other than a World Series in the last four years, it's painfully obvious that it still rips you apart. There is a huge difference between looking at accomplishments that happened generations ago and ones that have happened in our generation and even more so in current times. I just love you Cub fans saying,“alright give it up all ready so the White Sox won a World Series Championship, it’s been four years now please stop talking about it”. When you know full well that if the Cubs were good enough to do the same in 2003 we would never hear the end of it and it would be your sharp pointy stick. So until that joke of a team you root for at Addison & Clark can pull it together long enough to win one themselves you are going to have to grin and bare the glorious 2005 World Series Championship as the most relevant and important accomplishment in Chicago baseball history since the advent of the automobile!

The AVERAGE crowd isnt better than the good years in La Belle Province although they are selling out at least once a week usually on weekends. MLB sold the club to an owner who moved the team. There's a difference The Nationals are brutally bad 25 wins as of last night. The Cubs and Sox have problems but they win more than one game every 10-11 days.

What have the Sox done? Let's just start with 2005. You try and match that, k? stay thirsty my friends, Nada

Man ... it has been a long time since I laughed this hard at a sports article ... the punch line ... "Keep an eye on the White Sox"
Nobody has an eye on the SU X, or attends their home games ... man that was a serious knee slapper
