It was obvious he did Roids even at the time. Given the Cards' tremendous number of drug/alcohol problems they need to set this straight. Name it after a St. Louis soldier who gave his/her life in Iraq or Afghanistan.

How soon they forget. Mark McGwire brought fame and revenue to the city of St. Louis during his home run chase and saved baseball along with Sammy Sosa. The man has not been found guilty of anything, has not even been tried for anything, and yet all this hate. Sad.

Albert Pujols doesn't fool me.

Let Mark keep his track of highway. Who cares. It's all entertainment, anyway.

When McGwire was with the Oakland A's, my hometown team, I witnessed him snubbing young fans when asked for an autograph. He was incredibly aloof and rude unllike ace pitcher Dave Stewart and fellow "Bash Brother" Jose Canseco. I was truly happy to see McGwire leave. His testimony on Capitol Hill only served to reinforce my negative impression.

Now, when my daughter and I visit St. Louis and drive on Highway 70 to our bed and breakfast, we have a good, hearty laugh over the sign. We've joked about packing wrenches in our suitcases so we could help St. Louis rid itself of a pockmark on baseball history.

Easy and inexpensive fix! Have taggers climb up and use Sharpies to draw an asterik on the sign.

Sosa and McGwire didn't save baseball. They and steroid-abusing cretins such as Palmero and Canseco put a blight on America's favorite pastime.

Amen. McGwire did say he used a type of steroid you could get at GNC, so really it's just a debate of what kind of steroid. The fact that he took wasn't able to claim he was clean under oath is awfully damning. You really think he ignored Canseco's suggestion that he do steroids? How naive are you?

Can we please have someone take a second look at that caption? Let's start with changing I-79 to I-70 (look at the picture if you need help). Then, please try to make sense of the second to last sentence. Thank you.
