There have been several peer-reviewed medical studies which have specifically looked for a link between autism and the thimerosol in vaccines, but none was found. The link is perpetuated by hysterical parents who are not qualified to evaluate medical evidence. It is child abuse to refuse to vaccinate your children.

I find this to be a very unbalanced article and it also is judgmental and has blatant lies. Who is the YDR to dictate what is or is not a family's religious reasons for not vaccinating? And the doctor cited in the article states that most families who he talks with who are anti vaccination change their mind is a bunch of hogwash OR he is a bully. Shame on this doctor and shame on the YDR for such unbalanced reporting.

and the quote from Dr. Wentland "refusal to undergo a risk-free procedure" is simply one professional's OPINION. Ask him why they push Hep B vaccines on new borns?

There are many people who would argue that not doing the research and weighing your child's risk and considering the pros and cons of all of the offered vaccinations is child abuse.

And now we know the real motivation for all the lies, and the fuss...well thank you for being honest about it! I for one, know the science behind vaccine damage, and have experienced it first hand in my children. I think your really scared of the truth, yeah, that's it! Because truth, in all honesty is uncomfortable to swallow especially when it's a medical product for which billions are made. That is, these vaccines have created new diseases for which there is hardly a cure for. I would have much loved to have measles in my child for a week, rather than a lifetime of autism. And, yes, this outcry of not causing autism, is getting so heated now, don't you think the parents are questioning why the henhouses are being prowled by the foxes lately?

Am I an medical expert? No. But I'll tell you what. I was diagnosed w/ crohn's disease 5 years ago. The remicade they gave me nearly killed me. I was under 100 pounds, and I was experiencing a million allergic reactions to the remicade. I overcame crohn's (no pain, no more meds) and now that I am NOT under the care of any dr, I am a million times healthier. I'd like to know WHY are vaccines any different? Medical dr's, they are great, but you know what, they screw up the human body time after time after time. Vaccines are no different.

I've read your pseudo-elitist posts for years. It's always the same spiel.

In America we have fought for and established this thing called freedom of religion, and freedom over one's medical health.

If you don't like it, you're free to move to the totalitarian state of your choice.

My children will receive very few vaccines, if any at all.
Vaccine Awareness

Why doesn't the YDR interview the proponents of vaccince awareness? This is a one sided, biased hitpiece.

A 'risk free procedure'? Then why has the federal govt created a multi-billion dollar Vaccine Injury Compensation fund?

Also, there is NO requirement to vaccinate your children in order to have them enrolled in PA schools. There are philosophical, medical, and religious exemptions. Simply ask about the exemptions, request a form, and school officials are required by law to provide the necessary info.
