Pandering = equals appealing to specific interest groups to ask for their votes. As adults, we know all politicians have to do it - or lose.

Interestingly, if a Republican candidate "panders" for votes; it's good campaigning, "vry smart". But if a Democrat does it; it's "pandering".

How stupid.

By The Associated Press
(AP)-- THE RACE: The presidential race nationally

THE NUMBERS:

Barack Obama, 44 percent

John McCain, 41 percent

OF INTEREST:

Obama and McCain are essentially even in the latest poll by Newsweek. The magazine's last survey in June showed Obama with a 15 percentage point lead, though that was one of the few that have shown Obama with such a large edge. By a 21-point margin, most say Obama has been changing his positions on some key issues. The poll was conducted after Obama reversed himself by not accepting public campaign financing and supporting an intelligence surveillance overhaul with elements he had earlier opposed. McCain has a slight edge among independents and a 12-point lead with whites, while Obama is ahead by nearly 50 points among minorities. Seven in 10 former supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton say they will support Obama, with fewer than one in five saying they will back McCain.

The Newsweek poll was conducted from July 9-10 and included telephone interviews with 1,037 registered voters. It had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

LOL, this is funny. NASCAR and Obama. What will Jessie say then? He's pandering to the people he has insulted the most; white, gun-owning, Bible-believing Americans.

This is the result of bad polling. This will not be a close election. It is time for us to remake this country. Hope and change will win in a landslide. And no Obama should not sponsor NASCAR---too many idiots and rednecks but if he does, it can only help. It cannot hurt and he has plenty of money to do it.

All this article stated is that BAM Racing solicited advertising spots to the candidates.

All of the candidates turned them down.

This article was simply a free ad to mention the name BAM Racing.

Besides, the liberals want to lower the speed limit, so they can't go racing around at the same time.

I hope he does that. Muslims and blacks are discriminated against in Nascar and in society as a whole.

He could put a mosque on the hood and a picture of cousin Osama on the trunk.
Ha! I picture a Wells Fargo armored car whisking away your increased tax dollars with slicks, spoiler and no other sponsor stickers :)

First, he would have to understand the concept of going fast and turning left, which I fear is WAY above him.

I think he'll put a price cap on monetary awards, tax the pole position, and re-distribute Roush Racing's earnings to pay for the now defunct Franchitti's team.

None of the candidates even considered NASCAR sponsorship. Seems like a $hitty racing team that will do anything to stay on the track. Maybe Jesse should sponsor them, he needs image enhancement.
