There are plenty of pint sized vehicles you can get a wheel chair into.Ford,Mazda,KIA they All make a little station wagon.The answer IS a more fuel Efficient vehicle.I hauled almost 50# of stuff home on my moped the other day in a backpack.

This is just plain SAD! Look at this nice family that is effected by the gas prices. A single mother raising 2 boys is hard enough. This just makes me sad. The mother should probly think about selling that jeep and getting a vehicle that gets better mileage though. Thats what I had to do. I hope the best for this family and every other family that has to make this sacrifice because opec just needs to make 56 billion this month. Bunch of B.S.

Instead of giving this woman crap about what she should and shouldn't be driving or how she is living her life we need to worry about what in the he ll this world is coming to..... Whether she is driving a gas hog or not gas is STILL $4. a gallon and affecting alot of lives for people not just her!

I love these high fuel prices, i can drive down the road and not have to worry to much about some fool running me off the road, waiting for some dumb democrat that can't drive with the flow of traffic.
Thanks to Granholm for cutting back on the police on the highways and high fuel, I can now go as fast as I want.

I think it's great...
Maybe this is what the world needs- A trip back to basic life, making time for family and creating your own enjoyment at home....
How many family's will be closer now that they have to slow down? How many marriages will be saved because instead of driving away from each other there "stuck" at home together.
Relax I'm sure the gas prices will go down some day, for now take time to see what life really looks like at a slower speed.

Dealers do take trade-ins!DO THE MATH!!! How many Miles Does it take to pay for a Different car? We figured out it takes about 3000 Miles to pay for a moped at 75MPG if you are driving a Gas hog at 10-12 MPG.

If they would research at all, they would know that it is not as easy as it sounds to just "trade in" our vehicles. As a matter of fact, I went to a dealership just this past weekend to look at my options of trading in my SUV for a minivan, which is my ONLY option for a family of 6. Because I still have a payment on my SUV, there is no possible way for me to afford a trade in. They wouldn't even give me a quote so that they wouldn't insult me. Hang in there, Melanie. Stop listening to all of these people who don't know your situation. They don't know mine, either.
