I am glad you see my point. May god be with the families during this time. Lean on one another during this terrible time. Remember the good times that you shares with this gentleman he will not be forgotten his life lives on here through all of you. As for the young girl you as well will have to deal with trauma all I can do is hope a lesson has been learned thru all of this and it makes you a stronger person with the ability to say "NO THANKS, I'M DRIVING". God bless everyone involved in this share a shoulder and lean on one another I am sure that is how Mr. Mcree would want things to be He wouldn't want angry words to be passed but support for one another.

What is the evidence that the girl was drinking? Is this all conjecture, or is there a source for the accusation?

Is there evidence the girl was drinking or are alot of assumptions being made? I just want this clarifed. The person who said she only had 2 hrs sleep after drinking - is this a fact? I just hope we don't ruin reputations before we know the facts. I mean if she is guilty of that then she deserves everything that is being said and whatever happens to her. In this situation, there are other possible answers - sleepy, distracted, deers, car trouble, etc, etc.

Yes... the 19 yr old girl, Kim , was leaving home after only recieving a couple of hours of sleep after being out all night drinking. She hit Michael head on and killed him on impact. Michael was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was on his way to work. God bless him. He was loved by many!
I have been a family friend for years. He will be missed by many. This is very hard for Michael's family.
Is this information you obtained from the police about the 19 year old? How is it that you know so much about her? How was she able to drink all night and what establishments were serving her alchohol?

A big problem on Vietnam Pkwy. is that there is those that litterly fly up and down this stretch of highway. I have had drivers pass me doing at least 85 MPH. They need to put some radar out there and slow some of them down.

it wont do anything, trust me, ive raced on that stretch of road, and have even had cops with no lights on fly by me, some people just like to go fast, which is not the case here, i want evidence, yes she has messed up two lives, my condolences to the passed on, but we dont know what all happened, it rained yesterday so maybe she hit a slick or oily spot and lost controll. we werent there we dont know. but before anyone starts badmouthing the people involved, or the roads, or the goverment, please do the right thing and think of all variables that are involved. unless you know the facts, dont jump to conclusions, im not defending or slamming anyone, im just saying, if you were not there and dont know the whole thing, dont jump to conclusions

Michael was a dear friend of mine. He was close to my best friend, Mali. It was through her I met Michael- a man with a thoughtful heart, who cared for others and was on the path to a fulfilled life close to his family, friends and God. Michael was an inspiring individual who had a new outlook on life. He recently started a new job and had plans on pursuing a Masters degree in Architecture. Michael will be missed and I'm sure he appreciates your thoughts, prayers and condolences. Peace be with you, Michael.

How could this have happened? Micheal had such a great soul. He will always be remembered and my prayers go out to his sweet family. I agree whom ever supplied her with the alcohol should be punished the same way she will. 21 and over is the law! May Micheal rest in PEACE!!!

Hate to ask but how many fatalities have occurred on this stretch of highway? And why must it always come to someone getting killed before any action is taken to prevent this from happening again?

Yes. That is what she told the police when they told her that they were going to do a Blood/ETOH test on her. Who knows where she got it from. Fake ID's work also. It is just bad all around.

Unbelievable!!! Not only has she taken someone's life and ruined his family's lives but her own as well. She deserves everything they throw at her. She needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law not to mentioned sued for every penny she has.

And just how and where did she get the alcohol? Or the fake ID if she has one?

If she had a fake ID, would the police have not notice this? And if she had only gotten a few hours sleep after an all night binge like she told the police.....this might explain why her BAL was not high. At least she admitted to the police that she had been out drinking all night. It's up to them to find who contributed to her delinquency of underage drinking.
