People, QUIT the rude 'staven' comments! It basically shows us all that it isn't East Haven that is stupid, but the ones making such comments. Oh, Frank, by the way....East Haven Academy is one of the top rated schools in Connecticut, one of only 2 in the state to win A Blue Ribbon Award, so stop with the insults. As parent here in East Haven, my childrens education, behavior and morals has always been my top priority. We are a family who does NOT drink alcholic beverages, who spends our free time in educational pursuits, museums, music lessons, and other cultural activities. We are many numbers strong here in East Haven and do not fit your antiquidated opinions of our town and its people.

The only reason they offer discounted tickets and have special "camp days" is to get the kids into the park so they SPEND $$ on food/Drink/merchandise. They know having large groups of (screaming) kids is a HUGE pet peev of Paying Seaason Ticket holders, so they openly risk pissing off the older (read: real fans) to get the kids money!

The Atlantid league has NOTHING to do with Baseball, it's a vehicle for selling crappy oevrpriced food and Beer, Period. Get them in the park so the spend money. If they have to let kids bring in food/drinks, they will just STOP offering reduced tickets to camps and stop scheduling mid-week day games.

I am not taking any side on thi issue, but the Bridgeport Bluefish have had children's groups and schhols attending their stadium for over 10 years and it is clearly their policy to not allow food to be brought in. It was the responsibility of the camp group to understand this and provide food for the children in another way

i think its funny how the moms are mad at the bluefish organization, when they should be mad at the east haven park and rec department who organized the trip, i would think that when a group is planning a trip they would find out what the policies are ahead of time.
I agree with you 100% the people who coordinated the trip should have inquired about food and bev. Your talking lots of kids!
