Both parties are responsible. The camp should have went to this shady area provided by the bluefish and the bluefish should have allowed water into the park since this 90 degree rule is more policy than law. The mothers however, are ridiculous. It's two hours, not two days. Calm down.

I see a lawsuit coming....it's the American way. The mothers aren't too bright....they're from 'Staven.

i think its funny how the moms are mad at the bluefish organization, when they should be mad at the east haven park and rec department who organized the trip, i would think that when a group is planning a trip they would find out what the policies are ahead of time.

Its typical of the work ethic of people today. No one bothered to check if the kids could bring food anOur society is getting most selfish and degenerate.

SOLUTION. Don't use Harbor Yard anymore. Let their policies support the team, functions & owners. Children are not welcome!!

People be realistic here --- I have been to this ballpark numerous times -- it is a great place to watch a game -- the organizers of the trip messed up -- plain and simple. The Bluefish made an exception and allowed them to go to a shady place outside the park and allowed them back in. The organizers need to take responsibility for this not the Bluefish. You always needs to find out the rules of places you are going to -- simple as that.

First off, the campers should have left.... You allowed these kids to sit out there for 2 hours w/ no food or drink? You should have turned around got back on the bus and went back to East Haven!!!!!! 2nd- Harbor Yard was being greedy and they wanted them to buy their food and drink there, I know it's a business but these are kids! Shame on you!

My daughter is a counselor for East Haven Park and Rec and when she told me what happened, I blamed it on the town. They should have found out the policies when they booked the trip and then informed the parents before hand. Common sense also has to come into play here. Most people know that outside food and drinks are not allowed in most places. If the parents questioned East Haven Park Rec and were told to bring lunches for the kids, then East Haven is the only one to blame, not The Blue Fish organization.

I think the Bluefish's policy is very clear. The Rec department dropped the ball on this one. It is their responsibility to know these things, and communincate the policies to the parents, when they organize a trip. They should have had the kids eat their lunch in the area the Bluefish had available. Also, I'm sure that there are water fountains or sinks where the kids could have some water if they were that thirsty or needed to cool off.

Oh for petes sake.. We aren't in the deserts of Arizona here... These mothers rank right up there with the old biddie who was complaining on the news the other nite about the kids who cleared the vacant lot to play stickball. Whats wrong with people??

I think u should rtake the managment of the park and sit them in the sun for 2 to 3 hrs with out water, this was good way to teach a young child about baseball.......
