"In your liberal LOVED country Iran, he would have been praised for killing them."

lol: Why is it you think liberals love Iran? That's a pretty stupid statement. I'm liberal, I don't love Iran. Now, if you ask a liberal do they think we need to go around the world waving our mighty penis around telling everyone what they can and can't do, and topple governments that don't agree with us, like Iraq, then yeah, we'd have an issue with that.

I am not offended, I am not surprise that losers like you would think that way, after all you need to be open minded to understand the law inside the jail system. The guy that killed Cales had what you need, balls to do what needs to be done.
I still praise him for doing what the courts needed to do. Take justice. I wish I knew his name so I could send him money for his tab inside jail.

i'll give you one guess as to how a make a living 5 days out of 8.
you think that he is a hero, than you are totally nuts. i'll give you a real hero. his name is audie murphy, the most decorated soldier of world war 2,followed by 58,000 americans who gave up their lives in vietnam, followed by 55,000 americans who gave up their lives in the korea war and lastly, the americans who are giving up their lives overseas.
how dare you compare our fallen heroes to one inmate, who is just one loser out of 23,000 losers.
i mean, seek mental health treatment, you seem to have forgotten the true meaning of what a hero really is.check yourself into the mental health prison in newtown,ct, GARNER CORRECTIONAL INST.
at this point, you are not too far gone from a cure for your mental health condition.
YOU CALLED ME A LOSER ? LOOK IN THE MIRROR LOSER.
I'M A HERO, I SERVED MY COUNTRY. COMPARE ME TO YOUR LOSER, YOU'RE AN A.S.S HOLE !!!!!!!
ONE MORE THING LOSER, IF YOUR LOSER INMATE HAD REAL BALLS, HE WOULDN'T BE LOCKED UP DOING TIME. HE WOULD BE A TAXPAYING WINNER.

WOW!!! I couldn't have said that better myself. At least someone knows the true meaning of hero. The two scumb@gs were nothing more than two scumb@gs. It just so happens one ended up dead. No loss, but no heros involved.

You are kidding me right! Do you have any clue as to how many fights there are in the REC yards a day? These officers are not there to babysit this inmates like you all think! If the inmates choose to fight then they need to deal with the consequences!

so when do we cry over a loss of an inmate who himself was convicted of 5 counts of manslaughter ?
let his family suit, no big deal in DOC.
reminds me of a time some years old,an inmate filed an excessive use of force against the inmate while he was strip searched by several corrections officer. actully, the corrections officers per directive observe the inmate remove his clothing,;never touch the inmate.
the inmate alleged that the corrections officers inserted their middle fingers in his rectum, causing him mental and physical harm.
the inmate filed in a federal court, and when the video taped of the incident was shown and void of the inmate's allege charge of excessive use of force, the judge dismissed the case. the inmate cooked up a phony charge and was kicked out of court by the presiding judge.
cales' family could file a lawsuit, but in the end, the judge will find, DOC can not protect over one thousand inmates. being in prison is like being in the belly of a beast.

The only problem I have with what happened isn't really the end result, but that it would seem that the DOC knew the two were at the same place and the guards made sure they were in the same area at the same time. It's crap like this that results in inmate lawsuits. Inmate lawsuits, when won, cost the taxpayers money. The better solution would have been to house them at Northern Supermax.

ha !!!!!!! let the inmate's family sue. if the family happens to win his lawsuit, which i doubt, his 5 victim love ones could turn and sue the estate of the dead inmate for the wrongful death of 5 individuals.
let me correct you on a fact of title. you want a guard, you could find one at your local shopping mall. the proper job title is " CORRECTIONS OFFICER," that is why we get the big bucks. shopping mall guards make $10.00 an hour.
now for the northern max prison.DOC has to follow due process rights protocal before an inmate could be housed at northern.and prior to the fight, both inmates did not meet the protocal for ADMINISTRATIVE SEGREGATION ,PER doc policy and per the connecticut general statues.
point to note, when an inmate is denied a privilege,a disp.report is written against him for violating AD 9.5 CODE OF INMATE DISCIPLINE.
here goes the magical term" DUE PROCESS RIGHTS."
once a disp report is written, the inmate has due process rights, according to DOC policy, CGS, AND THE US SUPREME COURT.

I am entitled to my opinion. I'm actually relatively conservative in my viewpoints, and hardly a liberal. However, I do not support the death penalty, or any form of violence for that matter. What good is killing or hurting any one? It obviously doesn't deter people. I never said the man shouldn't be locked away, because he clearly isn't able to live in civilized society. I feel bad that he killed two people, but you don't know that he isn't sorry for what he did. Forgiveness is what is lacking in this country. Putting him in jail for the rest of his life is punishment enough. You're all just blood thirsty. Tell me does the United States government rape rapists? We don't live ancient Mesopotamia people. That whole "Eye for an eye thing" is proposterous. There are approximately 1 million people in jail right now for Marijuana. The United States Government has more people in jail per capita than any other country. Take some of the drug addicts out of jail, send them to mandated drug therapy, so you can stop wasting my tax dollars on needless jailing. We can afford life in prison then, and won't have to keep executing people. I'm not a LIBERAL, but damn it some liberals are onto something. Most liberals encourage CHANGE, and the one part of our government that is most in need of CHANGE is the entire judicial system. Find it in your hearts & minds to see things differently. Do you really want to condone violence onto anyone or anything?

I wrote back~
Do you have any idea what the officers go through with the inmates on a daily basis? They have to deal with **** and **** being thrown on them and they have to deal with fighting and having to worry if they are going to get shanked(stabbed to the lay person). They also have to give these crybabies whatever they want to keep them happy and shut up so that they don't cause fires and continue to scream and yell!
I have No sympathy for someone who chose to make the wrong decisions in life...these inmates chose their path and that is on them!
If I sound heartless so be it but I have to deal with watching my husband come home everyday beat down and tired and stressed because of POS like these inmates that like to play games!
MY husband is Correctional Officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and he works in the Penitentiary (High Maximum security) and he is in charge of the SHU(Solitary Housing Unit)
So for all you bleeding hearts you can go hug and thug but I certainly won't!

I am out of here!

He was a worthless scumbag who "stalked" his ex-girlfriend and then chased her at over 100mph down Chamberlain tpke in Meriden and into Berlin killing her and her friends it was a horrific crash to say the least - taking 5 innocent lives - and now he is dead - good luck getting any sympathy here
I knew that name sounded familiar but I just couldnt remember the case and as soon as you said that, I remembered. That was horrible, he stalked her to her death. Karma is a ****, what goes around comes around and I hate to say this because I usually have sympathy for anyone who dies but what he did to this girl was horrifying so like I said, what goes around comes around.

First of all, Mr. looser, I also served for my country, I am us veteran. And yes I agree with you, that the guys fighting for this country overseas are true heroes, I never said they weren’t. But like I said the guy that killed Cales to me he is hero, he did what needed to be done, why I say that, if you had seen the accident and new the victims you will feel the same as me. I know some of the families involved. And it was sad to see how they died. Also Mr. Wise guy, as long as he was alive there was always a chance that he will be released after a few years of been incarcerated. In the state of CT many times I have seen people that because of political reasons or because of early release programs, they have been released.
And what happens, they go back to doing the same thing or worsted. As long as he was alive there was always the possibility for him to be released, as we all know there is such a thing as special parole, and also there is such a thing as religious influence many times prisoners join a religious organization when they are in jail, next thing you know that they used that towards their advantage for early release or a few clergy man fighting to get them released because they are born again Christians.

you aren't no hero, you are a coward. cales had to be killed. your hero's intentions wasn't to kill cales. the fight got out of hand, and from what i'm told, your so-called hero approached cales from behind, giving him no chance to defense himself.
i'm putting this whole affair to rest.
if you want to continue to ponder on it,be my guess.
i'm done. how a great day and see you the on the flipside of life.
ps mr wise boy, his chances of gettinbg out of jail is correct, in a coffin, dying from old age.
