What I said beentheir is that these are low rated crimes and their are more serious crimes to be dealt with, like murder, burglary, etc. these petty offenses which is what the law calls them result in very low fines, unless a minor is involved in the actual sex act. When it cost 10 times the amount fined to enforce the law I consider it a waste of time, put our money where serious injury takes place not on this minor stuff. In Florida we are all complaining about taxes, if you lower the tax rates you cannot employ enough law enforment officers to handle real hardcore crime like murder, let alone little things like mistermeanors. Lets get the biggest bang for our buck. You can prevent children or yourself from seeing hearing these things by not using public restrooms, its a choice. In your own home they are comming in on you and the family is at real risk, in these other cases in the restroom the offenders were their first, if you enter then leave, their is no need to peer inside the stall to see what they are doing, their are other restrooms in another store, this case was where it was known this goes on, so in this case people who have a problem with what is going on in their should use common sense and go elsewhere.
If you knew murders were taking place, or rapes, or robberys at burger king at the corner of main and 8th street for example, would you go in their, most people would use common sense and not enter that store. Its the same here, except this is not a matter of life or death. use common sence. It like the lady who entered the bathroom at I think was home depot and got stuck to the toilet seat because glue was on it, if I enter a public restroom and was going to use the toilet i would wipe it off with a paper towel or toilet paper before I sat down, common sence, Or hot about the women who got bit by a snake that was in her toilet, come on open your eyes lady didnt you see the snake. common sense, that what this is all about. Serious crime needs to be fought first, all this petty stuff is a luxury when they catch someone they will be back on the street in a matter of hours, so what is gained nothing.

Beentheir, also I have been a victum of being shot at while driving (actually shot my window out missing me by inches), having my car stolen, having my home broken into and burgularized, having a family member beaten by a burgular. If something like this happens to you personally,, then you have a different view, you have probably never been a victum to real crime. That is why my attitude is where it is in this case, I just firmly believe that real crime that hurts people for real needs to be dealt with over things going on between two guys in the restroom. I just prioritize crime and how it should be fought. It does not mean I like it going on, or approve of it, its just as a victum of real crime, I say fight the crime that endangers people, when that is solved, then deal with this low life crime.

Thomas apparently you have never heard of the broken window theory of crime. Let me give it a brief run down. The broken window theory simply states that when thugs see an area of town that is in poor shape where "petty" violations are not enforced, they move into these areas as they see minor to no police presence. They know that the neighbors will not call because minor crimes are ignored here and they reason within themselves rightly that they will ignore major ones too. I have seen a neighborhood decline in just this manner. This is why your minor crimes need enforcement. I have been a victim of both robbery and battery so don't go get on your high horse and tell me I don't know anything about being a victim. The minor things lead up to the major things. Most people would tell you that if the court system came down on them when they were comitting "minor" offenses that many would have straightened out. Instead they kept escalating their crimes and kept getting slapped on the hands. Once they finally get their first felony conviction their chance at a real job and life are over. Its just like a child with no discipline, after so many years without it, it is too late to turn back and try disciplin now. They will spend the rest of their lives in and out of jail and prison. So I am sorry if you think I want to waste police resources with minor crimes, but I do. Your example for the bathrooms and murders are ludicrous. How in the world would I know that adults are going into public bathrooms to have sex? I guarantee you that the businesses do not condone this behavior and it is their right to call the police and have them deal with it. Last but not least, I have seen people arrested for petty crimes in a neighborhood and then a rash of burglaries that occured suddenly stops. We all know that Ted Bundy was stopped for a tail light out and arrested because he could not provide a license. It took the police 2-3 days to verify who he was. Yeah, darn those police wasting time on petty crimes.

The ones who are complaing about all that goes on in a public restroom, should stay out of them. They are the ones who do what they want even if others dont like it, but if someone does something they dont approve of its wrong. Well, complainers your sh-- stinks just like theirs. Stay out of public places, its ok to see the dog, cat, other a annimals having sex at the zoo, in the yard, this is normal you say. Well, that would be like me having sex with my husband in public, its normal you would look the other way, however if my brother was having sex with his boyfriend in a stall in a public restroom this would be wrong, its the same dummies. Its what society thinks is wrong, so its wrong. You can have sex with your wife, if she does not want it it is rape then you go to jail. A girl gets it from a guy its abuse, a girl has sex with a guy, she is not considered to abuse him, but he is a stud and hero. The trouble with society it has gone totally to hell, if you want a perfect society Then go back to the old rules of puritanism or be amish or similar.
You are correct except in one respect.... Have you ever seen two male animals or two female animals have sex with each other? Seems like even dogs are smarter than these men.

Been there, New York City did wonders for the overall crime rate by cracking down on petty infractions such as littering and jaywalking. There was much uproar in the beginning but that type of enforcement is now a model for many public safety departments. I believe the term most often associated with the "broken window" theory is "tipping point."

I would love to debate the logic of this argumetn but I find none. There is no coherent direction to this rant but I will try.

1. Engaging in sexual acts in public whether heterosexual or homosexual is illegal and honestly quite disturbing.

2. You can have all the sex with your husband that you want, but when you bring it into the public realm where we have to deal with you it is wrong. I like being able to not worry about my kids going into the bathroom at McDonalds and not have to worry about them coming back and asking me what they just saw in the bathroom was. Beyond that I have never seen a public bathroom that I would consider engaging in a sex act in, can you say yuck.

3. When I am at the zoo, should a pair of animals break out into a sex act, I do not stare and watch, they are animals and they do what comes naturally to them. Last time I checked we were all human beings and one huge thing that separates us from animals is our ability to control our desires for more appropriate locations.

4. I totally lost where you were going with the whole rape thing. I guess you were trying to say that a man can not be raped. I don't know, whatever you were smoking or inhaling at the time must have really been kicking in good. If one party says no, whether male or female then it is no.

What ever happened to hey you two, go get a hotel room. What ever happened to a little healthy self respect. What ever happened to being able to take your kids out and not have to worry about perverts in the bathroom having sex.

Beenthere, you asked whatever happened. What has happened in this country is that no one has respect for anyone, we have become a generation of me, me, me. If I want it, I will get it, the hell with you. This all starts with the parents, to teach their children respect, manners, etc, this goes on to teachers, ministers, elected officials. As you can see from the news, teachers, ministers, elected officials are getting caught in the same situations as eveyone else, its me, me, me. Schools are a zoo, no guns were in school when I went to school, when principals, teachers told parents their children did something wrong the parents corrected the kids, today the parents lash out at teacher, etc. The decay of america, which will be its downfall has started and is going like a train going down a mountainside without breaks. The trouble is, is that we the voters elects governors and other politicans who will cut taxes. To enforce ALL the laws the law enforcement agencies need more money, we need more jails and prisons, however, because we dont have the money we have to enforce the serious offenses, let the others off with a little fine. As you keep looking around you will find out that kids, preteen and teens know more about what is going on than yoy think. They have seen it. We also let those off who complain discrimination because of race. Look at the malls and see what is hangin out of pants, blouses in the open. Today we have become an open society who do not care about others. I do see your point strongly, however, where our difference is is that because of resources we must deal with serious infractions first and let the others go, it may not be right. But until we the people are willing to give law enforcement the funds it needs,(tax increase) and stop electing officials who get in by cutting taxes, this will continue. You think a small fine is going to stop these people, no it is not. Thats why I think public restrooms need to be closed and pay for use restroom opened. I think where our disagreement is is you think all laws should be enforced, I think based on the current political and social climate in this country we can only afford to enforce the real bad crimes. Many humans are just like animals (thats why the zoo comparison)they dont think and they dont care. Yes rape can occur to a man or woman, however how many men claim rape and how many woman do, I got a headache. This is why many couples are living together out of wedlock, it is not worth the hassle of marriage anymore, one more part of the decay of the family and society. This is the feeling of many, at least if you cohab when things go wrong one or the other moves out, as many say the best of both worlds. Just like abortion, when so many do it, it becomes legal, the same will happen to the sex in the bathroom, as the numbers grow. This comes in all walks of life.
Perplexed made the commit republicans, the reason someone made that remark is because the x elected official was a republican the teacher is involved with republican politics, the others are all registered republicans except one, what does that tell you, esp after the foley and craig incidents.

Oh for Pete's sake- public restrooms are for peeing and pooping. If 2 guys want to get it on they should check into a motel. If I went into a public restroom and all the stalls were full and there are 2 perverts banging each other in one of them, I would yell at the top of my lungs, "Hey **** either $hit or get out of there."

If all laws were enforced people might start taking laws more seriously. Society has become so jaded that nothing is more important than an individuals right to do as they please.
