These individuals are not christians they are people in the mall showing off and trying to use their power to influence others, esp children. They push, shove, prevent others from going about their business. The one I blame is the mall itself, they should not allow this in the mall unless they rope off an area that does not disturb other shoppers. Then make sure they keep inside the rope so others can get around. I also have to agree at this particular event these people could not even sing. They just made fools of themselves and their parents as well. Yes they are christians by their words, but by their actions they ARE the Devils advocate.

I think there is more to your story of your wife gettin punched in the nose??? Maybe she had a foul mouth to one of those "christian people" and instead of escorting her from the scene, as not to make an even bigger one, someone got tired of her mouth and PUNCHED her in it???

Shop online its cheaper, less headache, and you dont have to deal with anyone that would take you away from your comfort zone. Mall these days are geared toward teenagers and young adults anyway. Personally I dont go to any of these places to shop.

I live near Regency and haven't been inside in years. Too many undesirables just "hangin' out". Pretty much the same story all over old Arlington. All the good restaurants and stores moved out due to thefts and other crimes. Used to love going to Calico Jack's on Arl. Xway till "they" took over. When the whites stop going, it's just a matter of time.

I wonder how long before The Avenues becomes a slum?

Not long and the whole city of jacksonville will become a slum. Look at all the shootings, breakins, etc. The bad elements have moved into jax, the lazy good for nothing n---- that word you can no longer use in public. Their is a difference between a n and a black, just like whites their is white trash or trailer trash, a variety of names are used. It is time for the citizens to arm and drive the criminals out or into an early grave.
On a second thought though, the night that seacoast christian was their you could not pass around them, they would not move, they told you to STAY and YOU WILL LISTEN to my kids perform or else. I saw a women get punched in the nose, she did not say anything, as a matter of fact she was middle eastern and could not even speak english, her husband or escort whatever he was was american the security personnel would not help at all.

If she really was hit in the face, how about a lawsuit against the mall for allowing this assembly to take place. I wouldn't be shocked if it got thrown out, but it's always worth a shot if you've got the time and money on your hands.

It is time for the whites and hispanics to take over this city again and send the gangs elsewhere. Also it is time to keep show business regardless of where it is from church, etc unless their is a separate space available so it does not interfere with others. This mall has vacant stores that could have been used. The rest of us dont feel like listening to a bunch of religious zealots try to sing when they sound like dogs. Also a bunch of parents who think their too good for anyone else.

Your just in the wrong part of the mall. If you want to be around the repblicans at the mall, hang out in the public restroom stalls.

It is sad to see old Arlington going to the dogs. I lived in Arlington for 41 years until I bailed out. I was at Regency Square the day it opened. I can remember my mother saying "what fool will drive out to the middle of nowhere to go shopping?" It WAS in the middle of nowhere.

Many a Sunday our family would drive down to the Thunderbird and have dinner. As teenagers, we would pack Angelo's Restaurant on a Friday night after a Parker football game. No guns. No violence.

Children could ride their bicycles to Town & Country Shopping Center and see a movie at the theater. We could leave our bikes outside the theater and the thought that it would not be there when we got out never crossed our minds.

Children could attend 12 grades of school in neighborhood schools, all within walking distance. The only times we got a ride was when it was raining. Otherwise, our parents sent us on our way in the morning and the thought that we could get abducted or killed never crossed THEIR minds. Our front door was SELDOM locked.

I can remember, as junior high school students, we would get on a city bus all by ourselves and ride downtown to the NEW library and ride back home again.

I graduated from Terry Parker High School when it was the premier high school in the city. Now it's referred to as the magnet school for guns and warfare. We respected our teachers, most of which lived in the same neighborhoods we lived in. They knew our parents!

Now, you take your life into your own hands by driving the streets in some areas there. Regency Square has become thug central. There is nothing in that mall that I need bad enough to warrant going anywhere near the place. The nice apartment complexes that were built in the 1960s and 1970s have turned into ghettos. Any drug you may want is readily available if you drive down Justina Road slow enough.

How sad.

We all thought how lucky we were when they opened Sandlewood and all the Sin City thugs would be going there. NO ONE could imagine how bad it would get.

TP73 here ... and yes, I remember WELL when Sandalwood was first built. My father was part of the design team.

And "Sin City" has been, unfortunately, the one CONSTANT in Arlington. It began as a landfill for trash, and it's been filled with trash from that day forward.
