Yes, that's right I am a friend of Matthew Borg. The 20 year old man who most of you are ready to throw the switch on already. Allow me to bring the truth out a little bit without getting to emotional about my friend. Perhaps there was some speeding, perhaps not but the reality of the situation is that the blue mustang cut him off and to AVOID an accident he swerved. It was at this time he lost control of the car and blacked out. He then awoke to police yelling at him and telling him he was a murderer, demanding a statement. Oh, and he broke his back. Of course, I'm not trying to trivialize the massive damage or tragedy that was caused but simply get the other side out there. He is absolutely devastated and cannot believe what has happened because he was trying to do the right thing and avoid this type of thing. I held him as he was hysterical and he knows what he's done - I personally back that. So in summation, Matthew was not the "racing" type, tried to avoid something disastrous like this, feels completely terrible for everything that he's caused, and that blue mustang really REALLY needs to learn something about responsibility. But KARMA can handle that one. Thanks for all your ignorance, people.
I pray for ALL the people involved in this terrible accident and think no one is more important than anyone else. And please stop spreading this lie that there was a "mad crazy race" on 17 if you don't know what you're talking about.
Well it sems to believe that the investigation done by the homicide unit on scene and eyewitnesses to the accident have come up with more than this was just a little speedin...doesnt matter if it was road rage or road racing...your friends stupidity and carlessness resulted in someones death...hopefully he will stand up.take responsibility foor what HE DID when he faces the vehicular manslaughter and reakless driving charges he is to face

It's sad to think that everyday we get behind the wheel of our vehicles, we are putting our lives in the hands of others. Others who drive carelessly & selfishly. If this world wasn't always in such a huge hurry all the time, accidents like this one would decrease tremendously. Life is fragile. Is it more important for people to get home to their families, or bypass cars left & right frantically to get somewhere on time? Nothing is worth losing your life or taking someone else's.

im guessing hes not going to since he is already trying to make excuses as to how it happened..other than the truth told by many eyewitnesses...

by the way..the gentleman who died was a retired jso detective with an impeccable record of service as well as a family man and apparantly a greaT neighbor. even though he was up in age, he would preasure wash his neighbors driveway when it needed it because the neighbor was older! sounds like the city lost a good man thanks to a dickhole.

Sorry everyone is blasting you, but you put it out there...if your friend was cut off, then he should have the license plate number.
So, by your friends account, if you are cut off in traffic, then, of course, the logical thing to do is 'throw your **** up onto your shoulders' and chase the MF'r down?
Fantastic! Hope getting PO'd because someone cut him off, was worth the death, destruction and life filled with lawsuits and prison.

BOTTOM LINE IF HE WAS NOT SPEEDING HE COULD HAVE HAD MORE CONTROL, YES THE OTHER GUYS SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE ALSO. BUT BOTH BECASUE OF STUPIDITY TOOK A LIFE ANAD HURT OTHERS, YOU CAN'T CHANGE THAT.

I DO PRAY FOR ALL INVOLVED AND I DO PRAY FOR YOUR FRIEND. I HOPE HE GETS WELL SOON. I KNOW GOD WILL FORGIVE HIM. ITS GOING TO BE HARD, BUT HE NEEDS TO LEAN ON GOD FOR STRENGHT.

Guess, he did see the flying Acura, afterall. I'm sure his attorney advised him to come forward, so no big pats on the back from me.

True. I would believe the unbiased accounts from the witnesses before I would believe the 2 drivers that caused the wreck. Their only agenda is to stay out of jail, not to fess up to the truth.

wow, all I can say is that I think he was more than advised to do this..........shame they are not throwing all of his details out there, you know like name etc so we could see if he also has a pattern of driving like a di*khead.

but thanks for the update.
