Are you kidding me? So what happens when the people who received the wrong money, think they hit the jackpot and spend it all. If I ever see an unusally large sum of money deposited in my account,and I didn't put it there, I am always check to see if it was a mistake or not. I don't want it coming back later and biting me in the arse if I spend it and it really isn't mine. Does the rightful "owner" still get their money?

I also heard if you paid to have your taxes done out of your return you were getting a paper check. Even if your return was direct deposit. They don't tell you that either on the IRS website.

I have not received mine yet due to deductions from the preparer. I was never notifed that I they were going to send me a check instead of direct deposit.

This is a bunch of BS...PPl are depending on this money now...We deserve this money especially the way the economy is now...thanx to Bush and we deserve to have the IRS do a way much better job than what they are doing. Yeah I bet the money is going in to the wrong accounts..It may not be your account, so there for it must be going back into the ppl of the IRS accounts...LEARN TO PROOF YOU READ YOU IDIOTS...

Im not suprised. IRS know how to harrass you and deduct your paycheck but can't do a simple deposit. This is sad but hey this is our goverment.

I was supposedly receiving mine via direct deposit last Friday (05/09/08), nope it's not there. I tried calling them to find out the status, but no luck.IRS needs to gather their info before releasing information to the nation. I had my taxes done via Turbo Tax w' direct deposit. THey never mentioned if deductions were taken out of your return, you will be receiving a paper check instead of direct deposit. That's not fair at all. I am looking forward of giving my wife an decent Mother's Day gift and possible of taking her out to dinner. Instead, we stayed home, got her a $7.99 flower from Walgreens and cooked for her. I felt sad because my wife deserves this special day.

And if I go on the IRS website and plug all the information for the stimulus rebate, still says:
We are sorry. Specific information about your Stimulus Payment is not available.

stimulSUCK!

Hey Michelle, don’t bash on people that can’t spell. It does not make them less entitled to the money they deserve or make them less of a person. Some people just can’t spell, or think they are spelling a certain word correctly.
