I am retired military and never buy gas on the base, it is basically the same price on base as off base the only difference is the 6 cents a gallon city tax that is not paid by the military. At the price of gas today the extra gas I would use to get to the base, because I do not work their, would cost more than the savings. The gas at Hess, Gate and a few other stations is actually less than on base. I fuel at Hess or gate and that gas is usually 2-3 cents less. So where are you getting the dollar cheaper gas on base.

I called him on that some time ago, and have yet to get a reply.........think it was just a number he plucked out the air to be honest..I have never seen it even be close to 20 cents cheaper on base let alone $1.00

I wouldnt necessarily support a full gas station boycott, per say.
what i would support is the boycott of one company.
If no one would buy gas from Exxon for example, or any of its affiliates, they would not be making the money they needed to make, and would realize "hey, people dont want to pay really high prices any more. if they are not willing to pay for our product, we have to lower prices in order to sell the product."
after this happens, they will lower prices to some extent. Once this happens, the laws of competition in economics will take effect. people will go get the gas that is 10 cents cheaper, and then everyone else will have to lower their prices to that standard, or exxon would raise their prices back up, and bring about another round of boycotts. over time, this could drop the prices on gas back to reasonable amounts and bring balance back to our economy over time

Hate to burst your bubble but whatever you don't buy, China and India will. The greedy oil people will just laugh.

A better idea would be to stop shipping FOOD (somethin we got and they don't) to them and offer say, a bushel of corn for a barrel of oil...I think that would get much better results

Good point. start boycotting BP Starting Monday, May the 19th. Boycott them for 2 weeks, then move over to Shell, then to Gate, then to Hess, and so on.
