I know many many people who have in the past and still continue to occasionally partake. Some own their own businesses and are very successful. The funny part is, she probably does business with some of them and has no idea because aren't "flipping irrational idiots".
She obviously, albeit she claims to, has not been in contact with the medical community or true medical professionals.
I'm backkkk and I made it back to Michigan safely in spite of all those pot smokers on the Interstate. hehehehe

I wish Atreides would have accepted my challenge. Actually, I'd like to sit down and have a face to face discussion and then drag him/her to a Dr. appt with me.

Thanks for keeping this forum "smoke'n" while I've been gone. You too RMRK. Really good posts you two. Nice to see Union still on the board too.

Say What...have you leaned at all regarding your stand? And where the heck is Atreides? lol

BTW - I am game. Take ME to your Doctor. I am eager to learn more. I only heard that Marijuana helps with arthritis pain, two weeks ago. Unable to take narcotic pain killers... the pain sometimes brings me to tears and ruins my sleep.
Besides... you sound like a fun person... somf.
lol RMRK...fun indeed, thanks. Have you tried it yet for your arthritis??

True enough. It'll be abused no matter what, so why bother saying "yes"?
Because there is a beneficial medical application.

Actually... I tried it lately because i calms my racing mind. When I was a teenager I didn't have arthritis, so the pain relief shocked me AND delighted me... and got me interested in medicinal marijuana.

Good to see you posting again.

Foil hats. Dunce hats...... all this discussion clearly shows that the public is miles ahead of the gutless wonders of politicians. There is more truth and accuracy in this one forum than there is in all of the state legislatures and national congress sessions in the past year, maybe more.

Thank you. I'm glad it helps with your arthritis! Has it calmed your racing mind or has it brought you to a gazillion different areas of the universe & you now have all the answers for mankind? I'm being faceious, btw.:) In otherwords, you're not an irresponsible flipping idiot from it!
Are you doing anything else in the Community for this upcoming State vote? Just curious.

Amen. Michigan needs this passed and it's our time to speak and act. Reckon we ALL should print it and mail it in, email it in, and deliver it? Anyone up for a road "trip?" lol

Well... I did write the poll and get this forum started... and encouraging people to become informed and vote. My friends are aware of this, and hopefully will tell their friends... and so forth. Other than that, I haven't the resources to reach the general public.

Are you getting out the vote?

There's no good reason to not legalize it either.
Where in the constitution does it give YOU the right to tell me how to enjoy myself??
'Say what' and myself have given solid reason as to why we should keep it illegal. Most posting here however are not open to hearing those reasons as many here have already chosen to place themselves above the law and chose to use.

Besides, the implication behind your question is that if it feels good, do it. Further, if it feels good, no one has the right to make it illegal. If we follow that reasoning to its extreme logical ending, then we could not charge manical murderers like BTK or Jeffery Daimer with murder since by their own confessions, they ENJOYED murdering people.

Yea and there's a big reason those drugs aren't selling and the "raw" form is still desired by far over it.
Do you comprehend that there's a reason why it's used for medical purposes more then the "pill" form. Have you noticed that there is a movement to get it legalized, while these THC pill exist? Do you think the medical legization movement is just a bunch of stoners trying to backdoor some drug laws?
Drug companies are not able to produce the same THC without side effects not found in the "raw" form. They openly admit this, this is well known.
This is too easy!

First, people still desire marijuana because they crave the effect of the THC (which is the chemcial that gives the high, not the chemistry that increases appatite.

Second, the medicinal form has isolated the chemistry that eases pain and increases appetitie WITHOUT giving the buzz.

Third, while I cannot speak to 'Say what's' beliefs are on the origins of the medical marijuana use, I for one belief you said it well. It is rooted in a drug culture that is seeking a back door way to make marijuana legal for any use at any time.

This is a surprizing admission from you. First, you tried it as a teen. Next you claim you HAVE to use it because it is the ONLY way to control you pain. NOW, you admit, you smoke pot because it, "...calms" your racing mind.

Actually, your postings were just a little less than useless... citing insignificant studies and foreign sources while doing everything you could to shoot down significant sources from me, Benjamin (Mr. Wiggly), Horsnaround, Sand Worm 1, and others.

You rankled about my steady drum beat of the AMA, AMA, AMA. I then provided the following, and you ignored it. From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_cannabis
The American College of Physicians - America's second largest physicians group[32]
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - America's second largest cancer charity.[32]
American Academy of Family Physicians[32]
American Public Health Association[32]
American Psychiatric Association[32]
American Nurses Association[32]
British Medical Association[32]
AIDS Action[32]
American Academy of HIV Medicine[32]
Lymphoma Foundation of America[32]
Health Canada[32]
You said the AMA did NOT approve of medical marijuana. I provided the following link. You ignored it.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworl ...
Another argument aganist legalization was it would still be a federal crime. Momamarie had concerns. I provided the following link. She found it helpful. You ignored it.
http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article ...

And now you've said about the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Do you not realize that those people were sociopaths... that the reason Dahmer killed kids and ate parts of their bodies was NOT because he smoked pot. OMG... how ignorant to even say something like that. That implies that anyone who smoked pot could become a Dahmer. There's only been one Dahmer.

Another ignorant statement that it appears that many posters broke an existing law. You probably know people who drive home from the bar... that is illegal.

Grow up.

Nice way to twist my words around.
1. Abused it willingly as a teen.
2. Tried it again... stressed out and racing mind... to relax.
3. Have arthritis now... and it eased my pain. I was suprised.
4. Used it for a month or so... now I don't... I didn't get addicted... or become a Dahmer.

Where does it say you can't?

"Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is in the Constitution. This is a liberty issue.

And... women crave chocolate. Children crave candy. Players crave sex with more than one woman at a time. Politicians crave control. Diabetics are always thirsty.

All irrelevant. Just like the argument that it is a backdoor to total decriminaliztion of pot. Hasn't happened in the 12 states that allow medical marijuana.

Non-sequitor.

Your reasoning is just as twisted and ridiculas as your comparing pot to murder. Comparing a responsible adult wanting to exercise a right to use marijuana for medical purposes to a mental maniac committing murder??

You nullify your own argument by virtue of itself.
