Oh boo hoo, can't wait to hear all the $7 a cup "specialty" coffee drinkers to start whining about this. Good lord, you would think nobody knew how to brew coffee in their own home anymore for a fraction of the price as Starbucks.

Ludington, Greenville & Kalamazoo are local to Grand Rapids? That's a bit of a stretch I'd say.

Suppose FIVE is a much more fantastic number than TWO for a headline. Congrats again #8 for stretching the boundaries of truth.

Right on RAB. Starbucks just did them a favor. Just saved them a gallon of gas for every Starbucks purchase they won't be making.

The one on 44th st and Canal has extremely uncomfortable chairs. If they would have put in some comfy furniture and free wi-fi, that store would be booming.

Save your hard earned money. Brew your coffee at home. It seems to me that if you need to add a half a dozen sweet sugary items to your cup of joe, then you really don't like the taste of coffee very much. Just my opinion.

Good Day,

This is what happens when a company expands too quickly. Sorry for people losing their jobs and all though.

Sorry, but I didn't see anything in the article saying "local" to GR. It said West Michigan.

Personally, if I am going 'out' for coffee, I have always preferred the 59 cent refill in my to-go cup that hasn't been washed in about 6 years. That gives it a certain flavor that Starbucks has never been able to achieve.

Exactly. Remember, the more complicated the coffee order, the bigger the a**hole.

The best coffee in town is Schuil's. Maybe the would consider opening one of their stores in Grandville.

I hate to see any business close but this is not really that important. GM cutting Health care for it's retired employees over 65 is absolutely horrible. Now that's bad news!

Did it say that 12,000 workers are affected? Really? From five stores closing?? Did I mis-
read? That is crazy.
