Stubblefield wrote: Why is she: 1. Still permitted contact with her minor children? 2. Out on bail? If she were a man she would have lost all contact with her kids and she would have bail set so high that she could not be released on bail. 1-1/3 to 4 years in the jug is not good enough for her. She didn't "Sexually Abuse" him. Sex offenders get 3 to 4 years I should know, been through the "is it fair" before. I think maybe 1-3 years is enough for her given the fact she didn't sexually touch him in any way.(that we know of)

The Former South Buffalo Charter School Teacher Is Charged With Unlawful Imprisonment And Promoting A Suicide Attempt. Dickey Is Accused Of Having An Inappropriate Relationship With A 14 Year Old Student. Authorities Say The Two Disappeared Together For Nearly 24 Hours. During That Time They Say She Drove To Several Locations And Supplied Him With Alcohol And Over The Counter Drugs In An Alleged Suicide Pact. District Attorney Frank Clark Says His Office Has Ample Evidence Right Now To Go Before A Grand Jury. But He Says Getting The Boy To Speak Took Some Time.
Why is this paragraph written with all caps??? Do I detect a job opening with News 4?

C) They BOTH were in on it, not just her, as far as we know, it could have all been agreed upon.
Excuse me, but at 14 his consent is moot. Anyone can take advantage of a 14 year old and manipulate them. That's why 18 is the legal age and not 14.

Life Coach wrote: <quoted text> You are correct That is why NO TEACHER should be hired who claims they want to "mentor" or "make a difference" or 'enjoy working with young people" Those phrases set off alarms that they are probably child molesters/chickenhawks NORMAL teachers teach for a steady paycheck, good benefits, and summers off. Those are the ones who teach the subject and go home at the end of the day instead of trying to find a 14 year old "soul mate" I agree with one thing here, and that is that teachers should go HOME at the end of the day. Teachers should not be personally involved with their students outside of school and school events. I think it is inappropriate for a teacher to have personal communications with any student...cell, text, e-mail, etc. I think it is inappropriate for a teacher to meet with and/or "disappear" with a student, in or out of school. This is supposed to be a professional relationship. At the very least, this teacher had an inappropriate, personal relationship with her student.

Their wrong about nobody was hurt, Her students are devastated especialy my granddaughter who had her as a teacher and who thought of her as one of her favorite. She was so upset she didn't even want to go to her graduation. I think Mrs Dickey has been punished enough, all she was trying to do is help a trouble kid. She has lost her job and probably friends.

Come on, do you really believe this? There is a huge difference between 14 and 18, not to mention between 14 and whatever the age of this teacher. At 14, one may know all there is to know about how to get a hard on, but is that really all there is to sex and relationships for you? Are you saying that you didn't learn anything between the ages of 14 and 18? Are you saying you haven't learned anything between 18 and now? I wish I knew even a fraction at 18 of what I know now at (audible gasp) 39. No matter how you slice it, this 14 year old boy is just that, a boy. The adult, professional in this situation carries the burden of acting like an adult professional, and she did not.

She needs to go to jail, she has no limits and does not understand her place. She snowed over all of those kids. She needed all of those kids to "love" her for her own edo's sake, don't fool yourself, she had her own motives here...please

The suicide pact apparently did not work, Mrs. Dickey appeared in court with a smirk-- The student could not handle the deadly mix Of Barcardi, Tylenol, Nyquil, and fish sticks! He puked in Mrs. Dickey's car, It is all rather bizarre, Instead he should have just had a candy bar!

It is too young to make an adult decison like getting sexually or emotionally involved with an older woman or make a decision like suicide. I look back at he decisions and ideas I had when I was 14 and am glad I was too young to realize any of them. I actually wanted to marry the first person I fell in "love" with... I know now what a big mistake that would have been.

at 14, you have the free will to do what you want, to an extent. I'm sorry but at 14, I'm very capible at making my own choices.

That is what you think now at 14! When you grow up you will realize that you were very uncapable of making rational decisions at your age and you will also come to understand that the LAW says you are NOT an adult until you are 18!

get real wrote: <quoted text> NOONE has said she had sex with him! I personally don't think she did. YET, her proven actions are enough to know that she needs to be punished! She was definitly inappropriate with Nick and they must have had clear evidence of the alcohol and over the counter drugs! They also have what Nick has told them so far which must be the truth, we have established that he won't do anything to hurt her on purpose, so he wouldn't have made it up! I believe he hasn't told them everything! Get real! She broke the law! Actually you continue to bolster my point. No sex, no evidence of her giving HIM alcohol or OTC drugs, and a story told by a kid who's already in hot water and in fact, at that age WILL make things up no matter how "gallant" he may try to be. I stand by my original position, that the authorities are "fishing" and hoping for emotions to win a conviction. Also, women teachers who are in trouble is big news in the media right now......very trendy. Someone in the DA office is simply looking forward to the next election and calm the crying mothers and media.....and again dude.....get real!!!
