Owners of lunch trucks blast parking time limit

A county ordinance targeting food vending trucks took some heat Tuesday when a couple dozen truck owners and their lawyer came to the Board of Supervisors meeting to oppose it.

The issue is all the trucks that decide to park there truck and sell food for hours at one location not those vendors who are going to a business to sell food to the workers. If your doing catering truck business then do it as it was designed to go place to place not park in a lot and sit there with the lights on and strobes running.

Enforce the law! They knew this when they got the trucks. Buy a restaurant, go into another business.

Hello! Legitimate business owners have to pay rent in order to conduct businesses, these trucks park along the streets for free - tie up parking for 2 or 3 vehicles, spaces that we are all entitled to use - not just a select few.

One answer might be for these business to purchase parking permits from the County or the City for a certain amount of time

The real problem out there is crime. No body wants to talk about that problem. We just read about it every day in this news paper an on the TV. As long as these trucks are legal they are not a problem. If you have an area where they are out law them it that area. On a case by case.
