It's really nice that Walmart would do this for a small organization. What is a shame is that when groups like the Girl Scouts want to sell cookies they have to set up outside the store (no matter what the weather is like). Just so you know, I am not in any way affiliated with the Scouts but it is a situation we faced when our church wanted to have a bake sale.

First of all, Dan is a racist idiot. Where is this "white" community? I googled it and came up with nothing. Where I live, I have a neighbor on one side who is white. I have a neighbor on the other side who is black. What community do I live in?

Second, Walmart tossing a $2500 bone back to the community is like offering a starving man a spoonful out of a pot of soup. This corporate behemoth would better support the community by offering wages one can live on and health insurance one can afford, as well as a pricing structure that does not destroy every other store on the block. And adding a couple more zeroes to the number on that check would be a nice touch.

BOOST?!!! You just got dealt a death blow!

All you ever wanted in the way of cheap goods from China and other countries.

People, Sam Walton is DEAD. The new management works by buying cheap imports which undermines our economy. And of course it is appealing to folks who aren't well off in the first place.

Better to go without some things than buy from them. We don't have ANY decent department stores in this area anymore. All we have is K Mart, which is barely hanging on; and WalMart.

Try finding any American made goods THERE!

Every dollar you spend there goes to support not only China, but their military.

It's funny many seem to think that these stores are being generous to different organizations out of the 'goodness of their hearts'. WRONG. If they don't, they get taxed. Go see where ELSE the support is going.

This "corporate behemoth" would do better to STOP buying it's goods from China. Sam Walton had a better idea, but he died and left the current management. I'm told that Sam actually bought cheaper by buying in bulk from AMERICAN sources and passed that on to the consumer. The current management makes us totally reliant on other countries for our goods.

We all should have taken economics in high school.

Common sense for a business says that you CANNOT offer cheap goods that the public will buy and at the same time expect it to fulfill the business needs. You can't sacrifice service, or the business suffers. You can't sacrifice the goods or price the goods too high, or the customer won't buy. PLUS you are getting taxed by the government, both federal and local, you HAVE to spend part of your profits for "charitable organizations" ( translation: multicultural political organizations) or be taxed some more. SO where ELSE do you sacrifice?

And much as I hate to hear any talk of race; ( by the way you need to look up the meaning of the word "racist". I didn't see him glorifying his)
increasingly, white males ARE indeed being discriminated against. I have proof for that statement.
