D. Harris:
Don't worry, as long as you don't do anything wrong you won't have to worry about your fascist cop buddies using any justified force against you or yours in the coming police state you so obviously lust for, since you stood up for them in the face of all reason on message board's in the days before the fall.
Godspeed the empty pit of your being where there may once have been a soul.

I can't imagine what information would have to be revealed to justify the officers' actions.
Their behavior was wrong. They need to be held accountable.

Police nation wide have gotten out of hand. Citizens are being beaten and arrested by thugs using exessive force. Then our courts support this behavior.

This has gotten way out of hand, tasers must be used as a last resort not as a common everyday weapon. Using a weapon of this sort was meant for criminals not defenseless people, especially morally wrong when used on anyone who is handicap in someway.

Just another example of how out of hand the officers a the DPD are getting. i agree that sensitivity training needs to be implemented within the department

This is a total disgrace and they're going to bring charges against her? Unbelievable. I can't believe these police have stooped to such stupidity and depravity.

All charges should be dropped and she shouldn't have to pay for a lawyer to do so. Even if she truly attacked the officer, he's a weak man if he has to use a taser to detain a sick blind old lady. How did he pass the physical test to become a cop? Hahahaha, poor guy.

These cops should be fired. They obviously forgot their status as "public servants" long ago. No wonder that people don't respect the cops or the law anymore.

Really think so? See I find that if you substituted the word "taser" for something to the effect of "gun" this statement would be fine, however a taser is a perfectly acceptable way to deal with this situation. No one was harmed, and under that officers desgession thats was the most affective thing he could do. Ask yourselves this, was anyone hurt? No. I can not say that it is always a good thing when someone is tased, but from the article i read it seams fine.

Oh for crying out loud! Assault on a police officer? Trust the police to take a crime they committed and turn it back around on the accuser. Cops are way to taser-happy for anybody's good.

That was worrisome, why, b/c she might all of a sudden dig a hole and escape to china? And then you blame her for opening the door? Maybe she was expecting someone a little less psychopathic. These men need to have their jobs, their tazers and their gun permits revoked; and they need to be put on sanitation duty community service for about 10,000 hours before being allowed to apply to work anywhere else. By no means should they be put in any position of public trust. i agree 100% with you

WHO on the God's green earth would taser a blind woman???? THERE IS NO EXCUSE! Sorry officer but your days should be numbered after this incident. Your lack of judgement makes me want to throw up!

Brian wrote: Anyone, including those defending the police officers in this case, who thinks it's justifiable to use a taser on an old blind woman when the police officers are young, physically fit, and suppose to have common sense and decency, need to ask how you'd feel if they did that you your own mother, or grandmother? What possible harm could she have done to them? If they can't handle an old blind woman slapping them, then they need to find something else to do as they are quite obviously wimps. The police have gotten out of control with the electrocution of people for their sheer enjoyment. There's no other way to look at it, as they were OBVIOUSLY not being threatened with lethal force! I hope they all get fired and someone stands up to have these officers shunned in the public eye for idiocy. I dare them to come out and tell us their side of the story, and to show us their "battle wounds" from this old blind woman. Lets see just how much pain she caused them. Best thing to do is line up the police officers and tase them in public and then ask them to tell everyone that they are sorry for use of one on an old blind woman. Hopefully a good lawyer will come forward and bring this to court. An old woman?? She was 49 years old.... Last time I checked, 49 doesn't classify someone as being "old"....

That's rediculous that the police would charge her. And cops wonder why the youth of America hate them.

What is she going to do? Slap you? Spank you? Give you a boo-boo? Bake cookies for you?
