Cyber bullying is just as dangerous as regular, old bullying that occured back in the old school days. As teens become more and more saavy in the digital age, it is unfortunate that this talent and skill cannot be used for the betterment of society. Parents of these cyber bullies should be punished as well and have to pay steep fines for acts that their minor child has caused. I am curious if this is just a trend in more upper-middle class communities. Is there data to show a correlation between income level and the crime itself. I ask this question because there is a digital divide in America. It is called the "have's" and the "have not's." If the cyber bullying is taking place during school hours, for example using the school's computer lab, then those students need to be expelled and have to do hours and hours of humiliating community service.

It has nothing to do with the socio-economic status of the person since computers are available to anyone, even at the library. What parents need to be aware of is that the printed word leaves a paper trail of sorts that will point a legal finger at the perpetrator. Much different than the days of old.
